Why are these and tons more playlists like doubles race and swat gone
Why are they doing this?
Why are these and tons more playlists like doubles race and swat gone
Why are they doing this?
SWAT isn’t a launch playlist, same goes for Doubles and Snipers.
Race, VIP & Assault aren’t gametypes anymore.
They better add Team Snipes and Doubles soon after launch!

So swat snipers and doubles are going to be in like a few days or weeks after launch
Why isn’t race or VIP in?
I understand assault because we can reverse engineer it to create classic CTF.
Also I would like proof please…!?
I have to ask because I forget were these playlists at launch in reach?

We simply don’t know, if you check out the Machinima Live Stream, you will see all the playlists so far and what is likely going to be there at launch.
That confirms we will be seeing old classic gametypes return in the future post-launch.
> I have to ask because I forget were these playlists at launch in reach?
Reach didn’t have Team Snipers or Team SWAT at launch to my knowledge.

Moa. Stop posting that article like it’s proof.
Read the text. Nowhere does he say “We will be returning old fan favorite gametypes.” It’s ambiguous and misleading, to say the least. He could mean anything.
Stop posting this as proof.

Like I said on your own topic, they can’t add armour, weapons or that kind of stuff due to the whole .map file stuff, considering the article is based solely around the game modes and how they aimed to make them competitive, what else do you honestly think they’re talking about?

“We’re going to have lots of returning favourites come back post launch”
Seems pretty straightforward to me.

That makes me happy because reach added them later so Halo 4 has a high possiblity it will early after release later aswell
but that proof it doesn’t say anything about old playlists/gamemodes returning only old fan favourites…

The whole article is based around the new gametypes in Halo 4 and how it was aimed at the ‘e-Sports’ crowd.
What else do you think he is referring to?

Maps and Playlists.
They have plenty of places to go with remakes and adding in old playlists like Snipers, Doubles, SWAT, and other “fan favorites”. 343 has demonstrated through their customs options selection that they have no idea what custom gamers need and why they need it.
If they did understand customs, we’d have the options we needed within the various gametypes. We don’t. They don’t know or care about us. What makes you think a company like that would bring back gametypes, or even think about bringing back gametypes?

Who’s to say they won’t add in the custom options or the gametypes?
Kevin Franklin has already said in the past that they can easily fix CTF with a patch if needed, if the uproar was big (like it has been), expect it to be fixed.
I’m not sticking up for them here, I know the custom options are bad, heck, they’re down right awful, but you assume because it isn’t in, that they won’t add it in ever.
Then why didn’t they fix it before during development when there was a REALLY big uproar…
What I want to know is, why aren’t playlists like Doubles, Snipers, etc. already in the game? Why do they need to be added shortly after?
Did it not occur to 343 to put popular playlists that have been in the last three Halo games in Halo 4? How could you forget something like that?
This is suspect to me.
> Then why didn’t they fix it before during development when there was a REALLY big uproar…
By the time we actually learned about that, the game was simply being polished and fixed for bugs/glitches, it was WAY too late into development to actually do anything.
Like they’ve said, play it, try it out, if you don’t like it, continue to complain, it will change.
Classic is gone because you can’t disable sprint. I assume the rest aren’t there because they wanted to streamline matchmaking.

Why should I trust them if they haven’t demonstrated even the slightest care for me or my community’s needs?
343 has actively taken away custom options in Halo 4, just like Bungie did with Reach. Why should I just sit back and trust a devleopment team that makes these kinds of decisions to act in my best interest? Why should I trust that they know and care about the customs community when their record suggests otherwise?
Bungie didn’t care about custom games, and that was evident in their record. Now 343 is continuing that trend, and we’re supposed to just trust them that it’ll be different? No. We have to make noise about it. We have to be discontent. We have to say "Hey! We exist and we’re tired of being shafted!"
Otherwise nothing changes.
It hasn’t been the same since halo 3 and whether you believe it or not halo 4 is reach 2.0
