So far the only thing I’ve figured out how to view are peoples profiles, but that’s just a pre-rendered avatar. Not only do I not know how they got those avatars, but I’d rather see their Spartans/Elites in their custom colors and what not. Is it possible?

Spartans should be an option instead of the profile pics.
Id like to see what armour choices other people have made. And to see their original colour too, rather than just the Red or Blue
