Viewing File Shares in a matchmade lobby

Hey ya’ll, got an issue to run by you guys that has bugged me since Reach. Halo 3 introduced File Shares and each Halo game since, minus Halo Wars (right?), has had them. However, Halo 3 is the only one that lets you view them once all of the players are matched up in a matchmade lobby. In Reach and 4, this was removed and you can’t even look in the File Browser.

Does anyone find this odd? It isn’t a huge problem, heck I guess it really isn’t much of a problem, rather an annoyance. Still though, is there a reason for it?

This always bugged me…why have them if you can’t view them. So someone doesn’t vote? Big deal! In most matches people don’t vote anyway.

Especially back in Halo 3, we had voting, well vetoing, but it didn’t take long. While waiting for the match to start I’d browse through the Files everyone had and usually found good maps, screenshots and gametypes to try. Now, I can’t be bothered to look up their names and look up their files after a match.

This irked me as well, but if you have people in your group while MM is finding you players you can view fileshares. Unfortunately when this happens no one has anything in theirs.

Hey Cobra, I gotta say I really enjoyed viewing screenshots in the pre-game lobby. Lots of funny ones too! Definitely a feature I want back.
