View assassinations in First person please :)

Assassinations is an awesome feature that would be more brutal and engaging in first person. Imagining breaking a spartan’s neck in first person or doing the famous halo reach elite “this is Sparta” kick in first person, it’s a small detail but still it would be amazing to have :smiley:

I can’t see why anybody would disagree with the idea, but only if a toggle option for the player would be available for their choosing of 1st person or third person in Controller Layout.

Would be schweet, but Halo is not going to go that far with violence IMO.

I question why it is even rated “MATURE”
But as far as the assassinations go, there is no harm done :smiley:

Actually it needs to be 1st person only. There’s a glitch with how the camera currently works in Assassinations. When it switches to 3rd person, the player can swivel the camera around. During this time, an enemy can melted you to attempt a Showstopper. The problem is if the player aims the camera at an opposing player attempting to melee them from behind while assassinating someone, the game acts like the player is actually looking at them, when they aren’t. This means you can avoid bein back smacked while assassinating if you keep your camera looking at a nearby enemy trying to punch you. It shouldn’t do that.

Assassinations in first person + way shorter.

Campaign assassinations against prometheans or something are one thing, but Spartans are agile, crazy strong, and incredibly fast. Their assassinations should be about breaking necks and snapping spines quickly and efficiently.

Ideally the assassination would just be a special melee animation that doesn’t lock you in place, but I’m not sure if that could be reliably programmed.
