Video with Firefox

Hello,

I have a little problem.
When i try to watch a video on the Halo Waypoint website. I get a black screen on the spot where the video belongs.
I tried various video’s and already reinstalled firefox. But that doesn’t seem to work.
The video’s work fine when i try these on Internet Explorer.
But i prefer to work with Firefox so anyone can help?

Thanks

Do you have Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Flash installed? I’m pretty sure that the video player uses the former, but it never hurts to have both.

If you’re willing to do a little troubleshooting, can you please open up the Error Console and then try to watch a video? If there are any JavaScript errors that are happening, this should allow you to get a list of them.

Instructions for that procedure are in this spoiler box:

1. Click the Firefox button, hover over Web Developer, and then click Error Console.

(If you have the Menu Bar shown, then the Error Console should be under Tools.)

2. If there’s anything in the Error Console, then click Clear. Either way, click Errors so that irrelevant messages are not displayed.

3. Open a new tab or window, and go to a page on this site that has a video that won’t play.

4. If any errors appear in the Error Console, please right-click each of them, copy them, and paste them into a post here.

Note: Firefox’s Error Console has a habit of emptying itself unpredictably. Switching tabs can wipe its contents, so once you’ve opened the video page, don’t switch to a new browser tab until you’ve copied everything in the Console.
