Video Proof of Cheaters I Have Encountered

Do you say that based on the current population?

This is new waters for 343. So I doubt a proper anti-cheat is coming anytime soon.

First they’re gonna watch the hackers for half a year to figure out how they operate then spend the other half of the year developing the anti-cheat software.

Then by the time they get that out and rolling, new programs will get released and the hackers will reset the whole process, over and over again. Same problems just like with every other forced Crossplay + Free 2 Play game out there.

Sorry, but I think PC players and console players were just never meant to play together.
When we asked for Crossplay many years ago, it was for a team up with PlayStation, not PC.

Im pretty sure a large population benefiting from the reduce chances of running into Cheaters is alot better than this One for All approach. PC players gotta deal with cheaters? Oh well, tough luck. As its a quick and easy option to salvage SOME kind of decent fun without it being tampered with for a group of players versus the ENTIRE community. Itll also be easier to pick them out.

VERY true. Playstation and Xbox cross has always been the topic when it came to cross play. But PC? pfft, i see no real want for that or benefit. Seeing as how PC players hate anything console players can bring that would ruin their “master race” experience.

Cheaters aren’t that present overall, but it does suck that there are still some that get buy, and even worse there Isn’t an in game report

This is what I wanted when I first heard the word “crossplay,” for us to finally bridge the gap. Hell, let’s bring Nintendo in on it too, but they tend to stay more family oriented which works spectacularly well for them.

Unfortunately, PC players are in a league of their own, only because they have grown accustom to complete and utter control over customization and optimization. PC players look at Console players the same way Android users look at Apple users.

I only say this because the population is dropping on steam at quite an alarming rate.
The feature to have cross-play auto enabled and set rotating playlists has already been addressed by 343 early on Halo Infinite’s launch; as it was a means to keep a stable population and create more useful feedback data on MP.

I kinda figured this was the case.

Your basis for saying such is really formulated around current events rather than how things were going and how things were expected at the introduction of the multiplayer.

In all fairness, a segregated platform system would’ve actually been a great introduction when populations stabilized in the 6 figures and even prior to this. In fact, it most likely would’ve benefited the game immensely.

I think this has less to do with a current dying population and more of a developmental oversight. I mean we have the framework in the game that shows populations can be split up based on player choice.

In all fairness, as being part of the demographic you’re vilifying for some reason, I never thought PC Crossplay would be considered a thing until Fortnite pulled it off. Crossplatform play made more sense between consoles to bolster their demographics due to populations being affected by PC migration a few years back. Anecdotal I know, but I take it you don’t engage with too many PC players in an amicable fashion.

As a PC player I never thought companies (let alone a company in charge of one of the Crown Jewels for competitive experiences) would take this approach as a default aspect of a game after it started becoming a bit more common. A lot of games at least give players the option to play with their own crowd for obvious balance reasons.

I’ll give 343 credit though compared to a game like Overwatch, Infinite doesn’t outright neuter their console playerbase which is good.

Man the console wars back in the day were fun, bombastic, and showy. Now they’re kinda spiteful, hostile and just nasty.

It might surprise you that most PC players just wanna play games, kinda like what most console players wanna do.

Shocking I know. There’s really no need to be so malicious my guy.

Warzone had an issue with hundreds of cheaters that were console only. Crossplay only does not address cheating and will simply lead to population problems years down the road when population nunbers go down and PC and Xbox will not have sufficient numbers on their own.

If nothing else, I have to admire and praise the documenting that you’ve done with these videos. Definitely keep up the good work to help push what we’ll all hope to be a better solution and crackdown of cheaters, even if we’ve already seen how difficult a task it seems to be for other games to accomplish that.

It does surprise me. Cause ive been playing on PC for two years now, and while I can play Halo again, and legacy games on steam, still don’t get the hype around it. All this “master race” nonsense I’d seen a ton of PC players moan and groan about , as well as the entitlement for everything to favor them.

The worst offense? Acting like they own Halo and downplay people who want to play it on controller.

Your opinion about separating PC and console players has nothing common with the fact of presence PC cheaters. Crossplay on or off does not wipe them out. But I want to have as less toxic game on console as possible. I want to have crossplay opt. for the whole matchmaking. And I will turn it on instantly.

And when, pray tell, would that be? You don’t know. Nobody does. But given that there are still people playing OG legacy Halo 3 until the servers are unplugged, the idea that the population count — especially on console — will be so bad as to require cross play to survive is borderline ludicrous.

The barrier to entry to cheat on consoles is a lot higher/harder than PC. Look at something like Cronus. Yeah it’s out there but it requires buying a piece of hardware that further requires a PC and a modicum of technical understanding on how to install and apply scripts for specific games. Not many people on consoles are going to go to that much effort or splash out the high prices for truly modded hardware. Whereas on PC all one has to do is pay for access to some API cheats by shady “companies” who specialize in such things and give users idiot proof instructions on how to use them.

Console to PC crossplay was, and will always be, a mistake. Those of us who grew up playing both console and PC saw these problems coming from miles away and sounded the alarm. But we were shouted down by the naive who demanded crossplay for all platforms no matter the experience and ignored by corporate suits who saw it as a major marketing gimmick.

And now the chickens have come home to roost. PC players have always had to deal with a higher probability of cheaters in games, I don’t want to hear how it’s somehow “not fair” to them now if they’re segregated away from console like they have been for damn near forever.

It’s bad enough that console players, predominately using controllers, have to fight against the KB/M advantages (which also causes things like Infinites strong aim assist and bullet magnetism that makes for a lesser experience for everyone), but it’s ridiculous to also make console players deal with the easy, rampant access to cheats on the PC platform.

Crossplay needs to be manual opt-in or disabled outright.

I mean Xbox population will be fine if they fix the whole customization fiasco.

PC well since I’m on console that’s not really my ball park

really and how much money you think its becoming a waste by spending on a anti cheat software when its pointless and has show in Warzone from cod that after that there keep on with using cheats and hacks since its easy to bypass it all.

i not know where you get the info from but Warzone are more then Duizend’s off accounts that got banned each time.
so far there are 850.000 accounts banned and there are all pc players accounts also.
and thats since 23 december 2021 so now 10 day’s later i think it has reach the 1 mill+ accounts banned all so its duizend’s each time.

easy way to fix it but will cost our privacy is by deploying an anti cheat like Valorant (Kernel level anti cheat) but are u saying that they shouldn’t make an anti cheat, kill the game like warzone were players started playing apex and other games. u think money is an issue at this point for 343 they get backed by xbox 24/7 but 343 keeps putting the game in a broken mess. And 343 have already made a lot of money out of hcs skins and campaign

there need to have a anti cheat system thats for sure but that will never fix the problem for this game since it will keep having this type problems since its free to play so thats one thing you keep having.

in Warzone and Apex concole players can turn off the crossplay option.
so that means more xbox and playstation players never end up playing in lobby’s with pc players so there get no cheaters in there lobby’s.
in halo infinite matchmaking you are force to use the crossplay function and thats the bigst mistake there have done is force it what is not good.

few years ago about this discusion a lot off people have give more a warning sign’s to 343 what will happing if there release halo infinite matchmaking for free to play with crossplay.
that 1: its becoming worse and bad for matchmaking.
and 2: that the xbox side on that thread not wane play with any pc players in matchmaking with crossplay since there is a high risk off hackers/cheaters.

the 2 warning sign’s have come out after release all.
sure that other things in matchmaking are a big mess and broken thats also true but the warning signs about hackers and cheaters have been ignore for years and thats something there can easy fix and where for you not need any anti cheat system for.

I don’t have video evidence of a specific player but I was watching a theater video of a of a guy who played against us and he could clearly see who was on the other side of the wall when they out of reach of the radar range. He’d throw grenades where the player was but they weren’t on radar and he got them every time. He was also anticipating the person on every corner.

Also watching someone play to see if they were cheating in theater is horrible because the damn game keeps switching players randomly. They really need to fix that.

Just because that’s how it was does not mean that is how it should be. From what I understand from your message, is that just because PC players were the ones mainly having to deal with cheaters, we should continue to be the only ones. That is not the root of the problem.

This is not a you (console) vs us (PC) problem. This is an us (console and PC) vs them (cheaters) problem.

Attacking PC players and saying “well deal with it you’re on PC” is not a valid argument. For the sake of a competitive FPS game, all inputs should be on equal ground and should be respected as equal.
