Seems like luck was not on his side this time. You can forget everything that he does before Reach is attacked since this is now redundant.
Hey took on Covenant Carriers Ships but in the end, he got owned by a Phantom Transportation Ship.

He was but the covenant knew the weakness to said tactical move from the previous encounter: All they needed to do was to fly straight thru it. Totally disrupts any advantage he could have gotten!
