I’ve seen many people complaining and defending this sequence at the beginning and end of the game (I’m talking about the screen that shows the Spartans on your team at the start of the match and the winning team at the end). However, most people are just saying that it breaks lore of reinforces it. I don’t want to ask if you think it’s lore breaking; I would like to ask if you like it.
So I ask: Do you like the spartan winning screen at the end (and beginning) of the match?
Here’s what I think:
I don’t mind the beginning, it just seems useless right now; It would be cool if it said the gamertag and the KDA of the Spartan (as IGN suggested). But I don’t like the ending sequence, I think it just makes the Spartans look stupid, it’s also a useless screen right now. Maybe it could show the best medals that each person on the winning got, or maybe their KDA for the match (along with the gamertags)
So what do you think about these screens? Are they perfect? Do they need tweaks? What would you change about them? Would you like them removed completely?
I think they’re fine, but there should be more variety, and names beneath each Spartan to show who is who.
The ending sequence does not make the Spartans look like -Yoink–bros or anything like that, it’s just how they cheer.
Maybe in the full game we can have a 1-5 meter on how hard your Spartan cheers, as customization. The current high fives would probably be a 3 on that scale. Then if you don’t like your Spartan high-fiveing others, you can set it to a 1 so he just stands still.
No, of course I don’t want my spartans acting like a possy of fraternity brothers.
Make them respectable for gods sake. I look at my spartan and want to think he’s better than that, mocking the enemy team with a low-five-to-the-side from my wingman while the other 2 are chest bumping and will probably strip poker later and cheat.
It doesn’t go far enough IMO. I’d like to see us be able to customize “touchdown dances” and maybe even more. Can’t Chief whip out a sharpie and sign the oddball?
I like the background music when you win. They need some more animations and for them to be a little less cheesy. Also display the gamertag of the person in both the opening and the ending just so you know who is who. There is sure to be more armour so it will be easier to distinguished everyone.

they dont need more animations they need to get rid of all of it
I don’t like it. But since I doubt it’s going away, there should be an option on the player side to either not show the stupid victory posing or to let us choose our preferred method of celebration. If forced to choose a post/action, I’d ignore the taunting and celebratory actions in favor of popping in a fresh magazine and checking my gear before the next “mission.”
It’s embarrassing. A friend of mine said “For the first time while playing Halo game I feel like a kid”. For us 30+ year old gamers this is kid -Yoink-. For you younger guys it would be like seeing Spartans dance around like the Wiggles.
