Vibration

Is it just me or does turning off vibration make the controller feel lighter and your aimer lighter?

Anyone know if there’s any Information out there on the subject?

I don’t know how it would make the controller feel lighter since the rumble motors would still be in there. It could be that you’re holding the controller and sticks tighter with vibration on so it doesn’t mess up your aiming and you wouldn’t need to do that when it’s off.

Good point. It’s hard for me to explain, though. Because even when it’s not vibrating and I have vibration set to on, it just feels weird, but I’ll give it a try again and see what happens…

I know what you mean. I felt that way when I turned vibration off after playing with it on for over 15 years. After a few days the sensation goes away

If you’re completely used to playing games with vibration enabled, it stands to reason that it would feel different when there’s no vibration in a situation you would normally expect the controller to vibrate.

I’m not even referring to that. I’m just referring to my aim. It feels lighter.

So if you try and draw a straight line on a piece of paper , now try it on a washing machine while turned on, not only will have to apply more pressure to draw said line it will likely be less accurate and undoubtedly feel different.so logic would suggest vibration off setting will obviously feel lighter and more accurate by contrast.

Even when the washer is off, but has electricity going through it?

This - vibration introduces instability and creates another element to manage when lining up shots. It degrades aim

I don’t think people are listening or understanding when I say that it feels different even when vibration is set to on and the controller is not vibrating.

It does feel different, this is why I turn it off. I don’t want the thing to be shaking while I’m trying to aim.
