Recording footage in theater mode and/or other pathways (HDD/SDD/USB flash) is common. However, I’m looking for more enhanced features for capture and sharing–an interactive xp. Interactive xps are available in theater mode; but, sadly not across platforms–when it is crucial to sharing.
YT vids include a range of 360 degree footage that the viewer can explore by moving around the camera. Would it be possible that a simulated/emulated 360 degree camera be pre-installed in Halo Infinite (and, possibly as an alternative but highly adaptable Microsoft app)? Would this therefore be able to allow viewers to watch gameplay from fps (traditional view) and toggle between interactive view? Will the new Slipspace Engine aid this process (and Mixer/YT/Media Player/etc) update their platforms for xps in this manner?
Graphical interfaces within the capture footage itself would also be a welcome attribute. For example, I deeply enjoy (since H4) the HUD updates for spartans. The graphics that appear to update players on campaign progress (i.e., communicating with NPCs, etc) is refreshing and helps to catch interest. I know Goat Sim has an interactive stream option; but, would something similar for spartans be available (i.e., being able to interact with the HUD in the captured footage–even across platforms like media player and YT–at key frames, etc.)? This would greatly enhance the editing world of gameplay footage. This would spice up the way video games are shared.
This would be such a cool feature! I didn’t think about virtual 360 videos until this post, but now it’s got me wanting it in every game from this point on haha.
I guess the one thing that might hold it back is hardware that’s potentially not powerful enough to handle it.
