Veto System?

What ever happened to it? It used to be one of the best things. I went away from Halo for Reach & 4 so I don’t remember if it was there for that. But is there a reason it was never in Halo 5?(not sure if this was previously discussed, I was late to the party on H5). It would be great for many playlists, but especially action sack. I can only see positives coming from this. Obviously it won’t be in Halo 5, Im more curious as to why it never was. Seems odd.

I guess you could argue the same maps/game types keep getting played. But if thats the case, then there is obviously a good reason for it. (good maps). Or just play in a Fireteam to always play what you want to.

While veto was better than voting I never liked either because they both lead to only the same maps being played over and over. Granted veto wasn’t as bad as voting. But I actually like that neither is in H5 and hope it stays that way for future titles as I get a way better variety without either being there.

Valid points. But i still feel the veto system should be in place. In H5 if you dont like the map/game you can just leave in the lobby anyways. Dashboard or join on someone. It happens constantly, always leaving that one last spot and eventually timing out. My as well have a veto system in place. That may happen less

You pretty much got it on your last point. With the same maps and gametypes being picked over and over again, it can get sometimes stale and it is nice to mix it up everyonce in a while. I personally voting never returns.

Would have liked it when I needed strongholds in team arena but at the same time I am glad there was no veto/vote system. Having the fixed map and game mode made it less frustrating when strongholds came up because no one could change the game mode.

I’d rather they didn’t add it back in. Sure some may dislike a map then dashboard but there are many that want to play those maps, many more…I kind of feel like Veto/Vote is partly to blame for why we ended with maps like Valhalla over, over…which got tiresome fast. In a way they were some of the worst features for matchmaking plus if someone was that desperate they could just play custom games.
