How would 343i determine who has been with the franchise from the beginning without there being any online records for Halo: Combat Evolved and when every Tom, -Yoink-, and Harry can claim they have been to get the reward?
Best to just take the data from Halo Waypoint even though old halo 3 stats were archieved on a 3rd party site recently. Surely there can be some hell raising veteran icon/emblem or whatever.
