Very upset with character end of game poses

I disabled the skins for all the games because they distract me and I prefer how it was when I played as a kid, but when i disabled the skins they still showed up at the end of a match which is ridiculus. I disabled the skins, I want to see them gone. I dont want to see them at the end of the game. Or better yet, give us a feature to disable end of match character poses. Give us more choice in what we want to do.

I think until 343 explains how they intend to add Microtransactions to MCC, this post-victory screen will remain stagnant.

Once they start selling poses/dances/effects via an in game shop the screen will make a lot more sense.

I don’t mind them personally, but I do think an option to toggle them is a fair idea.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAObeWnJ9dM I made this video explaining what I mean a bit more.

The description of that check you select in game is “Skins will appear as the did in the original game”.
This new screen wasn’t in the original game.

While I agree they ought to extend the functionality to cover both - or more reasonably give the entire victory screen a toggle - when that initial “New Skins” selection was created this entire screen didnt exist.

Not sure what kind of background you have, but its pretty normal software dev to miss something like this. I would submit it as a bug and they eventually can write up some requirements for it.

Absolutely. As @The_FFA_Panda mentioned log a bug report since by the wording in game around the armor toggle, we should not be seeing it.
I logged one shortly after the August update went live and it was forwarded to the dev team, so I’m crossing my fingers that this will be a quality-of-life fix we’ll see in the next update.

Tbf, the devs have a very loose set of rules that define something as being under the toggle or not, on top of some games consistently not working as intended.

Reach’s restored DLC armor for instance is considered as something affected by the legacy toggle regardless of its status, yet sometimes doesn’t even work as intended, meanwhile something like the UE4 customization menu is considered UI, which is typically an area they’re content to leave exempt on the principle that its “not a part of the legacy experience” (part of why this is of note is due to the complaints that used to exist around Halo 3 and ODST’s menus using recycled Halo Reach/4 animations over their own original ones)

What you mean “they intend to add Microtransactions to MCC”? They went back from their decision “never mtx on mcc”?

A few months back 343 mentioned interest to implement purchasable Spartan points and after a lot of noise from the community 343 said they are no longer looking to implement mtx. At no point did they ever use the terminology never which leaves plausible deniability to implement later down the line.

I get this response with every ticket I have submitted, and the majority of the issues that I’ve reported persist. I wouldn’t hold my breath on a fix/change.

Think they decided not to add Micro transactions now.

No, 343 was VERY specific on their wording. They never said there will not be Microtransactions. They said they will not do purchasable Spartan Points; that doesn’t mean they cant sell dances or emotes or bunny rabbit ears.

" [Back in our June Community Update] we talked about ideas around purchasable Spartan Points that were being explored by the studio, and we wanted to provide an update on that conversation.

We can confirm that we will not be further pursuing purchasable Spartan Points for MCC.

We are also looking to enact changes to the earn rates of Spartan Points and remove barriers that players have been facing. The 100-point cap is being removed, retroactive points will be granted, and we will be making further adjustments to Challenges to make them more rewarding, along with bringing back Double XP Weekends. For further details on these changes, [be sure to head over to the August Update Preview blog]!

Currently, we are tracking towards making these changes in the next content update for MCC, which is scheduled for November. We’ll have more information to share with you all as we get closer to that point."

Only reason people liked it was for the possibility of preserving Halo 4’s stances, yet 343 didn’t do that.

They most likely won’t so no need to get panicked about that.

To be clear I’m not panicked, I’m being honest about their language.
