team performance is what is killing this game. One goes Afk, you lose rank because the system thinks you lost against a P4. The population says it all here.

Just lost a 3v4 49-50. I’m guessing the game thought we only needed to start with 3.
Pretty even game - our team had 16,16 and 17 kills.
Gold, diamond, etc are just your placements in ranked. It is not reflective of your hidden true skill that is used as the bases of SBMM.
A lot of people go into casual game modes to lose in order to bring down their hidden true skill so they have an easier time in ranked matches until they reach Onyx.
Maybe the SBMM will get fixed in season 10? But that is a big maybe. I mean it is 343 after all.

Yep. I really hate those squads that are just set up for grinding CSR for their top couple of players.
I played (and was thrashed by) the same team three times in S2 placement.
It was disheartening.

I’m not that great in the grand scheme of online play, but I find myself losing a lot and being one of the top players on my team often. I feel this. It feels like I’m paired with folks that just don’t care. I’d even wonder if they were bots sometimes.

I was just going to post about this but their balancing is shockingly bad. Im no amazing player but i very often find myself at the top of my teams leaderboard and would say i am atleast adept enough not to lose very often, evident in every other halo game. This is the 1st time i find myself on the backfoot every match, the top of an incompetent team regularly. Every match is sweaty, every match feels cheap and unfun, i had in 11 games 2 wins and 9 loses, 1 of these games me and 1 guy had over 30 kills each and i lost because somehow my team was worse than his terrible team. 343 needs to sort this, i feel uninspired to carry on playing. How have they done halo this long and still not understand simple things like fun.
