Very tired of losing through disbalance

My winrate is 36%… I lose most of my games going positive with 8 to 15 KDA, with my teammates going far negative. What is up with the team balancing in matchmaking? Anyone else experiencing this?

I feel like I experience this quite a bit with this being the worst offender: https://halotracker.com/halo-infinite/match/776827f5-bf92-4772-8969-82c2e048c605.

Yes, the matchmaking is absolutely horrible. The SBMM clearly isn’t functioning.
I even had matches where i went with an KDA of 25 or higher. And that is supposed to be a balanced match?!

That’s why i don’t play any MP after i completed the challenges. The matches aren’t fun. You either have to heavy carry your team, are completely outskilled or there is huge lagissues.

I literally just watched a LucidTW video that the ‘FPS Pro Highlights’ youtube channel posted, talking about ranked. What I gathered: it seems there’s a growing perspective that it doesn’t matter what your rank is – in order to advance a player must ‘hard carry’ each match. The comments section seemed to agree. I do wonder though how much of this is simply the system trying to find the fastest matches possible regardless of balance from a dwindling player base.

Ive lost interest in this game through a number of reason. The 3 biggest issues it has is Desync, horrible offshore servers and terrible matchmaking.

Not a single team mate went positive, this is regular in my matches.

Screw Paylo: Infinite.

I’m experiencing the opposite, I have a 60%+ win rate in pretty much every playlist. Usually play solo.

I usually try to adapt around my teammates each game which definitely helps the odds of winning.

It’s not the winning I can win, I’m just having to sweat harder than prince andrew at a Pizza express.

I went 33-2 in a game earlier and needed a shoulder rub I carried so much dead weight.

Ken, I have a feeling that if they closed down infinite tomorrow, you would still be posting on here telling us it was working fine for you, better even than ever before.

Honestly, send your copy of Halo back to 343 so they can redistribute it to the rest of us. :joy:

From time to time.
Looking into setting up a steam community so I can just pick from a list of active friends to party up, then I won’t really be dealing with that at all pretty much going forward ever again though.

8 and 15 is not going positive, that means you we t negative 7.

Went* stupid that we can’t edit posts so I have to double post.

They’re saying 8 to 15 KDA which is kills + assists/3 - deaths.

Having a positive KDA usually means a positive K/D.

Also, you can edit posts. This was an edit. Click the :pencil2:

Even after you explained I still don’t get it…

Also, I see no pencil at all.

KDA is Kills Deaths Assists.

10 kills 5 deaths and 1 assist

Would be 10 -5 +1 =6

When the heck did that become a thing? Seems very crude to go by that, like someone just trying to hide the fact they went terribly negative.

If someone gets 10 kills, 9 assists and 10 deaths, their k/d would be 1.0 but their KDA would be 3.0.

10 + (9/3) - 10 = 3.

10 kills, assists are divided by 3 because they are valued as a third of a kill (9/3) and 10 deaths subtracted at the end. It can be helpful to look at as sometimes people will get a lot of assists but not as many kills. They could have been very effective in helping the team but not getting the final blows.

Do you have the three dots under you post? Brings up all the options you can do with it. I don’t have to click the three dots though the pencil is always at the bottom of my posts to click on to edit them.

I click the three dots but only have 4 options besides the reply button, no pencil. Is it because I am on my phone maybe?

KDA is actually a better metric when measuring skill in a team based game.

I’m on my phone too but it’s still there for me, how strange.

I’ve just thought, maybe your forum level isn’t high enough to edit/delete posts yet. That could be a reason but that’s a guess.

It does sound like it would be more of an accurate skill representation.

lol wtf is that? 3 onyx on one team against 2 diamonds and a plat? Is this somehow justified by having an unrated player? If so that is beyond dumb. Why weren’t those onyx’s split up?
