Hey all,
Loaded up reach today and noticed that my Credits stopped increasing despite it showing that I am earning credits both in game and post game (as in it will say “+xxx Cr” but the number of credits i have in the corner stays the same and not increase). I am certain that I havent hit the cap for the day, and usually when I do it won’t even record the credits I am earning. What is even more odd is that it seems that I did increase the ammount of credits I have for today by about 2,000 Cr before the glitch set into place.
Any known causes and fixes for this issue? I have restarted both the game and the Xbox to no success so far
EDIT: I have tried different consoles, downloading my profile again, and uninstalling/reinstalling reach and the issue persists. I have also noticed that all of my Commendation progress is also frozen, it will award me credits in game, if I pause I can see my total has increased, but in the post game screen it goes back down to original value and never returns. Occasionally if i shut my console down it will restore the credits of my last match 1/5 chance of that working and it only applies to the last match played and this never applies towards commendation progress which just seems to be permanently stalled. This is by far the strangest glitch I have ever encountered and I have no explanation for what could be its cause.
EDIT 2: okay the mystery deepens. had my Cr randomly shot up exactly 200k to the daily max after a single match, I am fairly certain I did not earn 200k Cr between today and yesterday so this massive jump is quite surprising. I can still “earn credits” but the final Cr count is frozen again so its capped at the figure of 200k for some strange reason. I am not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else, google doesn’t turn up too many results its seems, and at this point I am more curious than anything else. Also commendations are still frozen and did not update with the Cr jump.
Edit 3: I am earning an alarming amount of credits that I do not believe I have actually earned. Today I received 400k (should be impossible), and every so often my Cr progres jumps exactly 200k but is entirely unpredictable and does not correlate with the amount of games I play which awards credits but shows no increase. I have tried everything short of trying to play reach on a classic 360 (taken off of the marketplace for some reason so now i need a disc which I seem to have lost). I will try this after the weekend but I am completely stumped and frankly kind of worried how long this will persists, it has now been 5 days. Have I been hacked or something?
