very laggy servers??

i’m not trying to cause problems i am just trying to see if anyone else is having the same problem. i have joined many games where the other team just skips across the map. and please dont say its my connection because i know its not! here is a video showing you what i mean when i say lag

Thats the worse I’ve ever seen lag…

thats what im talking about man this has happened 6 times tonight i dont understand why i always get into games like this

Servers have nothing to do with your in-game connection. If you’re having an incredibly laggy game chances are the host is at fault. If you’re having this happen constantly then it’s probably you at fault.

if you fail to read what i wrote don’t comment! i said i know its not my connection!! i have played xbox on the same connection for years. and i do not lag on it. full bars on every call of duty, open nat, and full bars on halo 3 never lag on halo 4 unless its big team. so if the person has such a bad connection why are they set as host?

It’s not just you. I switched over to grinding spartan ops instead of playing matchmaking tonight cause the lag was unbelievable.

And maybe you shouldn’t make wild assumptions about how “perfect” your internet is. I have a great connection too, but even mine can mess up for a day or even weeks because my isp messed something up. All of this, however, is irrelevant because I never deliberately said it was your connection.

ok so if you’re saying you didn’t say it was my connection explain what else it could be? heres what u typed " then it’s probably you at fault" so explain how else am i at falt? plus i didn’t mean the servers i mean the games i play computer games also and we call them servers. then also explain it only happens in big team games but not in any other game. clearly its not my connection and as others stated they are having the same issue thank you and good day!

It’s very simple logic. If you have a bad game every once in a while then it’s not you. Most likely it’s the host or some other factor. If, however, you are having bad games every time then it is obviously a problem on your end. And don’t give the excuse that you play perfectly on other games, because that’s not how it works. Every game has a different netcode and functions differently.

you’re all very lucky if that’s the worst lag you’ve ever seen! i’ve had matches where i just die, and don’t spawn for a minute, or some of the opposing team are just dead bodies, they still have their name over them, and when you shoot them their shields burst, but they don’t die. I’ve had a banshee splatter me me at the beginning of a btb match on ragnarock from the other side of the map!

I’m in aus, and it seems to happen when it is the arvo/night in the US, so it must be issues with connecting to people over there, once its around 2am US time, it’s much better, little to no lag.

That right there is why we need a good connection/region switch!

well i state before it only happens on big team which i play maybe less the 10 a day. i would say it lagged 2 times out of the 10 and when i play swat flood or any other game mode it runs smooth. so seems to be just issues with the host. but also like i said before why make someone a host if they can’t handle it?

Mr Tickle. Servers dont host the game. It is a Peer to peer game so it is hosted on someone’s Xbox in the game you are playing when you are getting lag.THIS GAME IS NOT HOSTED ON SERVERS RUN BY 343 or MICROSOFT. Get it. The problem is more than likely bad host selection by 343. We had the same problem in Reach and 343 have used the same engine for Multiplayer on Halo 4. In Halo 4 it is made even worse due to the fact they have taken the option away to search for games with good connection.

i don’t mean to be rude or anything but i already stated why i said servers… i said that because between halo 3 and 4 i stopped playing xbox and played pc and on pc we call the games servers and also i said i ment game

Thats crazy, ive had some bad games but really? wow…

one time i had a 5+ min blackscreen, everyone wound up leaving

The Halo 4 servers are horrible, and everyone on my friends list has the same issue. Honestly fix these servers 343, and i’m glad someone posted about this, cause Halo 4 is becoming a terrible experience, compared to other games. Hey 343, consult your former Bungie employees on how to do servers right! (a 7 minute black screen?! really? for me anyways).

I can say I’m getting terrible lag here too I can’t respwan but the team keeps killing me…

Tickle Halo 3 was peer to peer as well. Halo3 games were hosted on someones XBOX as just like they were in Halo 2, Halo Reach and still now in Halo 4. Your comments just prove you dont know what you are talking about as most PC games ARE hosted on servers.

343idiots need to add localization when searching for a game. I’m tired of playing Mexicans ect… (not that I have anything against them but I don’t know how to speak Spanish…). But really Campaign is good but multiplayer is definitely unfinished. I’m really disappointed not because I say it’s a bad game but because all of the half -Yoink- work that had been put in. Come on 343i this game has way more potential. Fix the lag
