So, I was on the Halo 5: Guardians page on Halo Waypoint, and I found something very interesting. At the end of the first paragraph of the page, there is and asterisk, which of course leads to an annotation at the bottom of the page.
This the first paragraph:
Developed by award-winning 343 Industries, the evolution of combat continues as your team becomes your greatest weapon in Halo 5: Guardians. Featuring Arena multiplayer, new modes and all-new Spartan Abilities, a new chapter in the Halo saga arrives exclusively on Xbox One in Fall 2015.*
This is the annotation:
*Online multiplayer and some features require Xbox Live Gold membership (sold separately); timed exclusive, may be available later on other platforms.
Here’s a link if you want to see the page yourself: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one
Could this mean that Halo 5: Guardians could be available on 360 or even PC?

Looks like a cover-our-butts statement in case it ever does come out on another platform and people complain that they got Xbox live cause they thought they had to get it to play online.
I guess you’d have to check whether similar statement were made for other Xbox one exclusives.
I believe a semicolon is used to express two independent ideas/statements.
I imagine the “may be available later on other platforms.” probably relates to the “and some features” section, possibly relating to things for the Halo Channel. I don’t really see it relating to the game itself
I suspect this is a mistake since pretty sure 343i have said frequently their focus is on the consoles but more on the X1 now.
Notice the URL too. It says halo-5-guardians/xbox-one
And there’s no way it would come to 360. MCC couldn’t even work on 360.

Wait are you serious?!

No, Halo 4 was the last Halo game to be on that outdated, nine year old console. Stop asking for any game that has the title “Halo” slapped on to it to be on the Xbox 360.

Of course he is. 360 doesn’t even have a blu-ray drive.
Okay, now that you guys rejected 360, what are your thoughts of the game being released on PC?

It’s a bad idea from Microsoft’s perspective, but other than that, I wouldn’t care. Actually, it might be good because I could get it cheap on steam haha
If there is a PC port, it will probably depend on the success of the xbox game. As well, like H:CE and h2V, it’d likely be a very delayed release.
