I know this has been something in other FPS games before, and while I don’t want to make Halo conform… What if we could play a custom game against an AI Spartan? What if you want to play a multiplayer game, but you don’t have internet access? What if you want to go up against your friend, but he doesn’t want to go up against you alone? What if you just want to have a form of cooperative play among friends, yet you don’t want to have them grow angry, or resentful of the other team?
I know that there are arguments to the other side, but how many of us have wanted to play Halo multiplayer, but we needed to remove a little rust before we did so? What if we stopped loading up a huge map to drive around in, and just casually played a game against a “Easy Level Spartan”? I think this would just help give people with poor connections another thing to do (If we didn’t have Firefight), it would give competitive players an option to try to loosen up before playing online.
It would take a lot of 343 to make it work, and I doubt we would get it for Halo 5, but how amazing would this be?!

Keep in mind, I am NOT saying we should be able to forge in AI like people are suggesting. I more mean like how you could play against bots in GoW, CoD, or some other games I can’t think of.

No, spam is “Halo 5 won’t have Forge because…” threads. If a moderator decides to apply this thread to someone else’s thread that originally posted the idea, I’m fine with that! I just want to get some of these ideas out there.

If you have a problem with me, or the thread, then either contact me with it, or have someone who has the authority to merge this thread with a thread that already conveyed this idea. I just want to try to help, and keep the forums somewhat tidy.
One question I would have to this would be what degrees of difficulty would we apply? Easy, Normal, Heroic and Legendary? Someone with a bit more programming knowledge feel free to voice your thoughts!

I know nothing about programming, but honestly, I think all of those are prerequisites for AI Bots the player can manipulate. Obviously, these would be Spartans, and because of MP’s balance, they couldn’t be able to fall back on making the enemy statistically superior to you on higher difficulties…
Perhaps the higher the difficulty, the higher the accuracy? The more appropriately they gauge weapon respawn times? The faster they react to the player? I think any of those could work.

Telling him that I’m reporting him, is not attacking his threads. What I’m doing is not against the forum rules, if it is, I’ll be banned, or message and warned. That is how moderation works. They are their own separate persons, they can figure out what to do with this thread, or your report of me.
I am not a moderator, nor did I ever say that I was. Reporting is how normal forum users HELP enforce the rules. That is the whole point of them having the report button.

I know it’s a longshot to the idea, but the lore behind this could be something along the lines of “Fighting the Chief” simulator for spartans sent out to hunt the Master Chief. It could remove complications of making a bot fluent in it’s use of Spartan abilities (assuming the Chief’s armor doesn’t allow for SA).

Replying to his comments is how the forums work.
This is beyond the capabilities of what they have time for in making AI happen, and honestly I don’t want them to make AI. It’s not the same as playing real people. Real people are for more unpredictable than an AI. Hard AI always hit headshots. They don’t get flustered. They don’t mess up with under the gun. Not Halo in my opinion. The ones who want this have played other games and expect or Halo to follow suit. We need to stop trying to blatantly smoosh together different games because you like how it worked in THAT game.

Agreed. We’re scrapping Guardians altogether.
Based on your view of Halo, campaign, the only constant in any title, isn’t Halo.
