So, in competitive Halo, callouts are such a massive thing. But what has yet to be implemented into Halo’s forge is custom-made callouts.
What I mean by this is, wouldn’t it be good to see 343 put in an area marker and if you were in the area, it would say it below your radar where you were, like in Reach. -
So a problem a lot of Australians had with Halo is that both Bungie and 343 only cater to Americans, especially with host. Blunt truth. Now, with host gone, and dedicated servers now, the problems I’m scared to see is Australians being forced to connect to American servers even though there is a Microsoft Azure Centre in both Sydney and Melbourne. Will good connection search be able to be turned on? Better yet, will there be a subtle region lock on matchmaking?

That’s a great idea in my opinion. Although it would probably be best to have preset names for each callout zone to chose from, such as: Red 1, Red 2, Blue 1, Blue 2, then the option to add a more specific name in place of the number (tower, basement, ramp, house, street).
#1 is a welcome idea. Would be nice to customize maps so much to the point of adding call outs.
In regards to #2, I am unsure how matchmaking will work. My assumption is that it function as you suggested in your OP, but we will have to wait until launch I guess.
I felt a little bad to read that they don’t pay as much attention to Australia as America.

Yeah. I hear MCC is a nightmare for them.

Well, Halo products are made in America and his distribution in other countries are not very successful, it makes some sense that the quality may vary in other countries.
I think the second one is common sense, but it will cost money, bear in mind. Subtle region lock, or at least looking for a good connection elsewhere is something I’d kind of expect.
