I hope that your V-Day, that is, Valentine’s Day, is going well.
I would like to bring to your attention that it is V-Day: Venerance Day. The day our website goes up and we begin actively recruiting for this fantastic project.
As I posted on HBO: I want this to be OUR project. What I mean by that is symbolized by the handshake image that has already been posted: I want this to be HBO’s (and the extended Halo fiction community, including Bungie.net and HaloWaypoint; lurkers included) and CryDev’s project. A union of passions made manifest in one experience. Those passions being: pushing the CryEngine to its limits and enjoying the Halo universe’s deeper fiction.
So yes. Consider this your engraved invitation to link up and be a part of this: let’s make games together! Whether or not I met you at HaloFest, but especially if I met you there, if you are part of the Halo-story-loving community then you are welcome to jump into the fray and participate however you can or are willing to try to.
Originally, there was planned to be some more content released today, but due to some pleasant yet extenuating circumstances, those media items will have to wait a little bit longer before they are released. Apologies.
For now, though, check out our website. I am particularly proud of the “About: Story” section, myself. Venerance is intended to be a slightly more dramatic take on the Halo Universe, and I hope that this is conveyed by the tone set in that piece of wordcraft.
