Now before we start this topic i just want to say make sure to mark your comments before and after this next infinite flight (the one with BTB).
OK now we can start. Now the vehicle sandbox feels a bit dull don’t get me wrong i do like the banished vehicle design but we need some more UNSC vehicles i know we have the Razorback but that’s IT? Come on we need more. And no the wasp does not count.
Here is what i think could be added:
The jackrabbit (HW2) its a fast scout vehicle like the Gungoose from (H5) but only one seat.
Flamehog (HW2) Warthog with a FLAMETHROWER instead of the regular Minigun.
Cobra (HW1) Think of the scorpion but with a spartan laser that it can use while locked down and a light machine gun while unlocked.
What are your thoughts?
I think it’s a bit harsh to judge the vehicle sandbox for Halo Infinite as “dull” when no one has actually got hands on or really even seen it to any depth yet.
I don’t think adding more vehicles into the fray and saturating the vehicle sandbox is a better solution either.
We also haven’t seen every vehicle in the game yet.
Vehicle damage systems have been overhauled massively too. This means damage to wheels, winds etc all have unique damage effects to the vehicle meaning it’ll perform differently when damaged.
Im happier to have a smaller and more refined vehicle sandbox rather than just throwing in a bunch of vehicles from other games for the sake of it.
jackrabbit should be added in place of the gungoose. I do not like the gungoose.
that is all

I think for the sake of campaign halo could incorporate stuff like the wolverine or kestrel, vehicles that are powerful in the hands of a single spartan. unsc vehicles are typically not designed well around singleplayer experiences. driving an AI marine around the map watching him burst fire at enemies never really resonated with me.

I agree – We can only speculate at this point about the vehicle sandbox, but I’m hoping the next flight gives us a chance to see for ourselves
And yeah, as much as I’d love to see some of the Halo Wars vehicles get added, it’d probably come at the removal of existing vehicles. I’m assuming 343 would want to avoid repetition with too many vehicles serving the same role in the sandbox.

For sure,
For me I love the Wasp and I’m happy to see it come back for Halo Infinite. It wasn’t a crazy amazing vehicle in Halo 5 but it was a good vehicle choice for a single person.
One of the reasons I disliked the Falcon so much is the fact I’m heavily reliant on other people whilst playing MP, it’s so rare that I get in a Falcon with a random and actually do well haha.
Seeing how it performs in a Campaign setting will be interesting.
I dont find it dull so far, but i am worried that, based on what we have seen so far, they are once again focusing on single man kill machines in the air. wasp is back with no sign of the hornet (which could work if you use one of the concept versions that has a tail chain gunner) or the falcon (a perfect team vehicle and allowed for fun game modes like ship assaults where the only way back and forth was with flying vehicles) ground vehicles it seems they are finally branching back out to utility vehicles.
Ok let me reiterate i mainly made this topic to talk the about the ghost and the chopper in infinite.
and the hopes of the jackrabbit.

That’s a fair concern – here’s hoping the two are a bit more different. The ghost hasn’t changed much, so I’m curious to see if any updates have been made to the chopper now that it’s coming back after so long.

Yes like they could give the chopper brute shot rounds and the ghost could have more burning plasma
I’m definitely in favor of more UNSC vehicles; especially ones that fill other roles. I was so sad to see the falcon from Halo Reach get vaulted after Reach. It was nice to have an air transport vehicle.
