Certain Vehicles could be added since they have an equivalent already in Halo 5 or they would make sense. For instance:
-Wolverines: We already have the AA wraith so a wolverine would make sense as a human version of a single player AA vehicle since mantis are not that strong against Air and a rocket hog doesn’t have mobility since its at least a 2 player vehicle and people rarely get into warthogs in Warzone.
-Hornets: Wasps and Phaetons fly just like Hornets so why are they not in because they are the one of the only two air vehicles in the games history that had passengers.
-Falcons: Seriously Team play 343 we need more of it so having more team vehicles really added to Halo so taking these out have only hurt the franchise.
-Revenants: This was the vehicle that filled in the gap between ghosts and wraiths and allowed it to have a versatile passenger.
-Specters: We have a gross amount of Warthog Variations why not just bring back the Specter already and the prowler while your at it.
Choppers: Were the only real fun Brute Vehicle so why not?
I would go with the Sparrowhawk as oppose to the Hornet, the Hornet itself is technologically outclassed by the Wasp, as the Hornet is barely tanker and not as fast. The Hawk however is way more agile and durable and can fit even without shielding.
Locusts would make a good covenant counterpart to the Mantis, because of shields and stomp ability.
Wolverines there might be a problem, as its grenades are so weak against ground and infantry, but strong against air. The Anti-air wraith can atleast hold its ground, but the Wolverine without its ‘Y’ ability ain’t gonna hold. I doubt they could even add ‘abilities’ for vehicles. Theres also its classification, is it a tank where pop a grenade and its done or a lighter vehicle where you kick the hijacker out?
Choppers they kinda got replaced by Temple and Ultra ghosts. Splattering ground vehicles isn’t actually that great of a gimmick, so highly doubt it would make a return.
The rest I can agree on.
I want the locust to be added. A covenant version of the mantis.

Well AA wraiths have gunners to help them with infantry a Wolverine would probably have a passenger to man the self defense guns as well.
Hornets and choppers are mostly just for variety so we can have better machinimas and mini games and Hornets have team play value like falcons where as all other flying vehicles do not. SparrowHawks could be added as an equivalent to phaetons and they do fly the same. Also Hornets are better than wasps because there payload is heavier and made for defense where as wasps are made for scouting and being lighter so their payload is smaller and less powerful. Another thing is REQ variants, just because each of the vehicles I mentioned are not as good as the new REQ variants doesn’t mean they can’t get buffed at their base version or that there possible REQ variants can’t also be as good as current Halo 5 vehicles. We could probably have choppers with explosive rounds or prowlers with a flame thrower or something. Which also begs the question is why we don’t have the flamethrower anymore.

> No Cobras? Really?
Cobras are long-range anti-vehicle units, they take time to set up and are not ideal for Close quarter engagements that make up the main Halo series.
You have some pretty good ideas but I think it would be amazing to have a grizzly tank as a mythic scorpion variant!
Needle ghost?
Shielded driver and increased strafe speed.
Needles are anti vehicle.
Slow rate of fire, but supercombines faster in vehices.
3-4 needles for vehicles, may take a few supercombines to destroy certain vehicles.
(Driver could die earlier in some vehicles)
More needles for spartans, as tracking is less effective.
What about a Grizzle or a Rhino tank?

Rhino tanks are long range artillery that were experimental and used plasma rounds. Basically they are a more long-range UNSC version of a wraith and just like Cobras a Rhino tank does not fit in well and will get easily killed on small engagement maps and yes even BTB maps are quite small for warfare size. A map like forge world would be needed to justify the use of Cobras and Rhino tanks as that is the usual distance you would use these particular vehicles for.
A Grizzly Tank seams like fun and would probably be however we need to consider there are two types of Grizzly Tanks. The first one that premiered in the original Halo Wars had an upgraded version of that scorpions canister shell which made large blasts, something that our version used in the main Halo series does not and for good reason as it would be too broken to have a tank that made an explosion 3x the size it makes now. Also it would be very broken to have a Grizzly because they have two barrels to either fire two shots as one or alternate which would get very broken if it had a shorter reload time as when one fires the other is reloading. If they both fired at once it probably wouldn’t be a problem and could fit in to the main Halo series. The second version of the Grizzly is found in Halo Wars 2 that uses a missile barrage, I will assume that you can foresee how broken that would become as it fires more than 12 very volatile missile rounds at a single target, this would mean insta-kill for any opposing vehicle. However as a Skin akin to the Hannibal or oni variants in power would be cool.

This is exactly the type of REQ variant they should expand on. We have the sword warthog that does this and the blood of Suban and those two variants of the warthog and carbine respectively are very fun. The warthog has gotten too much love from 343 and they have thrown innovation out the window in order to milk that iconic vehicle for all its worth. Imagine a wasps with needler or a mantis.
New Ideas:
-Elephants: We know they have this vehicle already programmed and it would make for some awesome game types to have this one in again as we could trick them out as mobile bases with forge welding. Imagine it game modes centered around mobile bases that you defend and respawn on or take over.
-Gungoose Halo 2 Remastered Version: The original gun goose was not like the one we have now, it was a machine gun mounted vehicle meant for chasing games or for chasing down other vehicles from behind like the temple ghost is for, it could fire while driving.
-Seraphs and Sabers: You know from Reach, we didn’t pilot seraphs but they were there so maybe exclusive modes designed around them or even a war zone firefight type designed around dogfights like the level in Reach. Hell they could literally just reuse the level and give it a new coat of paint like an anniversary edition and we would be totally happy.
-Goblin Mechs: They are there already so maybe they could find a way to make them not totally broken for player use. I mean boss vehicles have already upgraded armor on top of the variant they are using. Like mantis boss with tundra mantis have way more armor than our tundra mantis.
Something I would like to address before anyone asks is that Cyclops would not be viable unless they use them like a Goblin Mech as the use of them like they are now the either risk redundancy from having it fight like a mantis or Lawsuit and have it fight like a Titan from Titanfall.
I always enjoyed the Spectre from H2. It was cool that it had four seats. Was super bummed it wasn’t in H2A forge mode.
MEGA MANTIS!!!
just kidding lol that would be bad
So anyway, it would be cool to have a cyclops or some other vehicles from halo wars and halo wars 2.
I’ll try to condense what I’ve seen in the original OP post and in the comments, separating between agree to be added and disagree:
AGREE
- Wolverines - Before I though it would be OP, since most HW vehicles are heavier than Warthogs and are specialized on something. What made me agree? The AA-Wraith comparison, which makes the Wolverine a totally viable UNSC vehicle counterpart to it. - Hornets - I was expecting this vehicle instead of the Wasp, but the Wasp turned out to be really good. I think the Hornet should be a tanky-er and slower Wasp. Since H5 is a faster paced Halo game, the Hornet should move quickly (evasive movement, strafing, raising and dipping), but shouldn’t be speedy (top speed). - Prowler - Just a Warthog counterpart, but while you’re at it, maybe it should have a more precise Plasma Turret, to make it relevant (I don’t see plasma turrets at all in Warzone). I love how it moved, like it was slipping on ice and it’s kinda hovering time after taking a ramp. - Spectre - Same premise as the Prowler, but with it’s own vehicle mechanics. - Revenant - Fast and powerful, would be a nice addition to the already speedy gameplay. Imagine Revenant in Speed Halo and Speed Jump. - Choppers - I just want this ghost ramming, warthog flipping, spartan splattering weapon of mass destruction, bringer of oblivion +1 back. - Grunt Goblin - In my eyes, the true Mantis counterpart (some say it’s the Locust), but tunned for multiplayer, i.e. no jump ability. I think the Primary Weapons should be the Needler Cannon and the Grenade Launcher (change with Y like the Banshee), Secondary fire should be the Needler Barrage (less powerful one), and instead of Stomp should be able to punch, pretty much the same as it already can do… I’ll edit the rest later, since I have to go now (using my jobs computer to post, that’s how entertained I am)
I have said this in other threads, but I just wanna see the H2 Spectre again. That is the only vehicle addition I would like.
