Vehicles Skin in Halo 4

Recently, 343i released to the public information of weapon skins and armor skins; information I am very aware everyone here knoews. Let me start by saying that I’m not very hyped about them, for I’m indifferent to their adding on the game. However, I can not deny it might bring a bigger variety to the sandbox of the game, which might be positive in a way.

Today, as I was playing Halo: Reach I had a crazy idea. Since we are already going to have the options of adding skins to our guns and armor, why not having the ability to forge vehicles with a variety of skins. Personally, I think it would make all the sense of the world since in modern warfare nowadays (not COD), some vehicles from the army tend to be camouflaged according to the environment they are being deployed. It would be very nice to see in Halo 4 a warthog or a mongoose painted with different sets of camo.

How would this be added to the game, you might ask; well I tell you, the answer is very simple: Forge. In Halo: Reach we had the ability to customize some if not all of our vehicles to colors like red, blue or green. The system for Halo 4 skins would work similarly, when forging, the player would just go to the vehicle’s editting settings and just look for the skin he wants the vehicle to have.

Vehicle skins would improve the game in many ways. Not only it would make the maps look aesthetically better and more realistic, but that it would “drag” the player’s interest more into the game. Since camo might camouflage vehicles, it would make it more like a campaign game instead of just another custom game. For exmaple, imagine playing on a snowy map with vehicles having the artic camo that 343i showed for the BR in the pre-order bonuses, it would be amazing. It would open a world of doors to the player and it would contribute to the games sandbox.

Let me show you some cases I have in mind. Think of this with:
this,
this and
this.

Thoughts? Would you personally like this, yes or no and why? What other skins would you like to see added into the game? Do you have any similar ideas you would like to see in the game, if so, what are they?

P.S: Sorry for my literary mistakes, english is not my first language.

Not a bad idea for Forge. It could be built off of how the Mongooses (Mongi? Mongeese?) are done already (you know, you can make them red, blue, green, etc.) and let you choose between a couple different skins. It would only really work on UNSC things though… the idea of a Ghost with a skin is pretty weird.

Yeah, exactly, the idea of covenant vehicle skins is a little bit dumb. I don’t see this working unless 343i makes a set of skins for alien vehicles only. Kind of like the variety of armor elites had on Halo: Reach. I didn’t realize the elites armor was different by the elite rank until then. Maybe a similar idea like new art designs that don’t affect in-game flow of the game, or I don’t know. However, it is very unlikely.

In forge they will be very good

The correct plural for mongoose is ‘mongooses’.

This is exactly what I thought. You should be able to have different skins on all different objects. On objects - Snow, desert, ect.

I think it would be cool, the rides in the game have looked the same for awhile.

Vehicle skins were totally hinted in Forza 4.
Just look.

I don’t think we’ll be able to make our own skins, but we’ll probably have multiple skins at our disposal.

I would be fine with it. I remember how cool I thought it was when we got mongooses with snow camouflage on Avalanche in Halo 3.

Vehicle skins have been apparent in the franchise since Halo 2’s Heretic banshees in the campaign, and Halo 3’s snow vehicles in multiplayer.

Having the ability to choose vehicle skins in Halo 4 would fit right in.

NO!
