Vehicles of 4

Anybody feel that there just arent enough in this game? I mean compared to reach and 3 it feels like we’re so limited here,it could just be me but I feel like there could have been more, at least a Promethean light cycle or something :stuck_out_tongue:

The Chopper invented an all new class of vehicle, the “melee” vehicle. The ability to rip enemy vehicles in half was awesome. It’s disappointing that such a unique vehicle has been removed.

The Hornet was also a unique vehicle in that it allowed you to fly in any direction and transport troops.

The rest I don’t care too much about.

You’re right. The Covenant vehicles have gone down to the basic Ghost, Wraith, Banshee, and Shade, while UNSC vehicles got the Mantis.

This game introduce 1 vehicle playable in multiplayer; that’s a record low number of playable vehicles introduced in a single Halo game.

Regarding multiplayer-only vehicles introduced in each Halo game:

Halo 1: Warthog, Scorpion, Ghost, Banshee, Shade
Halo 2: Guass Hog, Spectre, Wraith (now playable)
Halo 3: Passenger Hog, Hornet, Mongoose, Elephant, Chopper, Prowler
Halo R: Rocket Hog, Falcon, Revenant
Halo 4: Mantis

I agree, it’s quite disappointing that the only addition to the vehicle sandbox in Halo 4 is the Mantis… I mean, could they not have even kept the Revenant? It wouldn’t have taken much work to bring it back in, all they had to do was port the model and animations, give it a nice reskin and voila! Vehicle in the game! Just like the rest of the vehicles that returned in Halo 4…

I really wish the Spectre would return, if not then at least the Revenant. Falcon would have been nice too, though I can’t see it fitting on any of H4’s multiplayer maps.

and thats another point I want to make right there, These maps are so enclosed, even ragnarock feels kinda tiny and that this game wasnt even trying for some vehicle action. It takes 2 plasmas to kill a hog and everyone spawns with those and plasma pistols

That’s true, none of these maps are truly suited for vehicles. Even the Forge maps are a bit small for vehicles.

I cant remember the name of it but the asteroid field map isnt too bad, alittle tweaking and it could be a decent vehicle map, other than that yeah its not that great of a halo vehicle game. If we had a hemorage, cant spell, type deal then ill be quiet.

It’s called Impact. And I guess it’s big enough, but yeah, besides Impact, none of the ‘big maps’ are big.

Halo 4: where the small maps are big, and big maps are small.

-sighs- complex…

It’s true, none of the maps are really suited to big vehicle battles, which makes both the lack of new vehicles and Forge space even worse. They missed opportunities for Forerunner stuff, they lack UNSC air, and Covie lacks anything that really made it interesting.

In general I’m just really disappointed with Vehicles in this game.

Not even thinking about what’s new…and how many there are…
I just feel certain vehicles aren’t strong enough, which some others are too strong.

Defensive wise, almost all vehicles just got horribly downgraded.

The 2 tank variants are hardly tanks now…they don’t last long, they’re basically just a huge target.

I usually run the operator and pathfinder sets at the same time doing big team so my vehicles get a little buff but it usually doesnt matter, this game is so anti vehicle its ridiculous. And dont get me started on the explosions of covi vehicles in campaign… -_-

Wow, that’s actually kinda sad. Also you forgot the Elephant

Ah, yes! I’ll fix that.

Though I think Halo 3 is the most overrated game of the series, I have to admit, it was the best Halo game for vehicles.
