So if 343i is going to try and bring back that “classic” feel in reach I believe they should take a look at the vehicles as well.
Below you will see some of my thoughts on how to make the gameplay from a vehicle stand point closer to the original Halo: CE experience.

If we have a Blood Gulch CTF variant please only put the vehicles on the map that were in the original game. Vanilla Warthog, Ghost, and Scorpion (the scorpion is a little strong right now for this so maybe a tweak to that). Also, a variant with just one warthog on each team would be good too.

Make the vehicles indestructable and make it so wherever they are left they wont respawn (they stay where they last were left for the entire game or until someone else grabs it to use). In the original game vehicle control was more important (imo) than in the other games for 2 reasons.
- The vehicle wouldn’t get destroyed and left an opporutnity for the other team to capitalize on your mistake.
- The vehicle wouldn’t respawn if you left it out in the open, again leaving an opporutnity for the other team to capitalize on your mistake.

Boarding vehicles, i’m at a toss up on this one. On one hand the original game had no boarding. On the other hand boarding is a great way to stop a vehicle from being careless.

Plasma pistol EMP. Make the plasma pistol still take the shields of an enemy driver but do not allow it to turn off the engine anymore. The PP should be used for infantry not anti-infantry. A good team should be able to work together to take down an enemy driver.
