Vehicles do not need to be made out of paper.

I feel that, offensively, 343 got it right with the vehicles, although it is often harder than it should be to hit distant targets with the Warthog’s rotary cannon.
On the other hand, all of the vehicles are way too weak defensively. This isn’t too much of an issue in WarZone because of Sword, Urban, ONI, etc. vehicles having the armor they deserve. But in Big Team Battle, you’d be unlikely to see a tank win a fight against three guys with battle rifles, which is ridiculous.
With all the options for destroying vehicles- boarding is significantly easier, power weapons are easier to find- basic weapons should not be able to destroy vehicles so easily.
And even in WarZone, there is absolutely no reason for sniper rifles to do so much damage against vehicles. They are one of the- if not, the- most powerful weapon against infantry in most cases, especially on maps as big as those in WarZone. There’s little incentive to use anything else.

Vehicles may seem disproportionately fragile, but that’s the price of balancing them against a majority of players who are on foot and armed with nothing more than an AR and BR. It certainly doesn’t feel realistic, but if vehicles were as rugged as they should be then you’d have one guy in every game getting a rampage and a perfection without even breaking a sweat. That’s not what I call competitive game play.
