Vehicles are useless in online.

Using vehicles online used to be what made Halo. Ever since Reach introduced the cardboard vehicles and the DMR that chews them apart there hasn’t been a reason to us them. It has gotten worse in Halo 4 with now being able to spawn with plasma grenades and plasma pistol and having seemingly weaker vehicles than in Reach.

There could be a few easy ways for 343i to solve this problem (even though they won’t). One of them simply making vehicles such as Warthogs, ghosts and the mongoose more durable. Another rather than having the plasma pistol completely stall a vehicle for 5-7 seconds, have it only decelerate it, or decrease the time the vehicle stays EMP’d. Along with increasing the durability of the warthog, they would also need to tone down the gauss hog due to the claims that is already over powered.

Off topic but still another major problem, the DMR needs to be nerfed. People claim the gun is not over powered, but when you join a match where 7 out of the 8 people in the matches favorite weapon is the DMR it says something. Stop using the game we paid good money for as a beta and fix this garbage

While I cant agree with you that the Dmr damage should be nerfed but I can agree it is a powerful weapon. I would imagine 343 has a spot for it in a TU at some point in the future.

i know that perk is there but i find it not very useful and doesnt help with making the vehicles more durable

Enlighten me on how the Mantis is easily destroyed.
Other than that, vehicles break quite easily, but that could be because 343 viewed them as an unfair advantage(Ghost, Rocket and Gauss hogs). The Warthog needs a buff, I can easily get a triple kill with 2 plasma grenades.

I never said the damage should be nerfed, but the bloom on the weapon is non exsistant and has a high ROF to that of other precision compared to its damage, they need to either make it have a slower ROF or more bloom simple as that, the fact that you can beat someone out with a DMR if they have an AR, suppressor or a storm rifle at point blank nearly every time calls for change

Give Vehicles AAs and load outs so they match up with next gen Infantry. I’ll LOL when I see a Hologram of a Warthog doing doughnuts or pulls a Thruster Pack move like some sort of Armored Core robot.

The Mantis was not mentioned specifically in the post because I felt it is fine the way it is. Now using any of the mentioned vehicles is punished by instant death from explosives such as plasma greandes after being EMP’d, and if some how you manage to avoid that, you can expect and spawn weapon to rip you to shreds because those vehicles are made of cardboard

Halo 3- Wooh! Team lets go get that Flag, I’ll drive, you gun and you get in the passenger!

Halo 4( if game-chat was still a thing)- Ok lets all slowly walk over there going from cover to cover because they’re entire team either has an ordinance-given power weapon or a DMR…

Glad I hit 130 so I don’t have to play Halo 4 anymore, Dead space 3 on Hardcore here I come!

P.S.- This is coming from an ex-fanboy of Halo and a fanboy of Bungie, I even like Reach…so yeah

There isn’t a single large map for vehicles. Nor are there any custom maps in the matchmaking. Nor is there the ability to make large vehicle maps because the terrain they gave us with these three pathetic forge templates is useless.

Even if the vehicles are useless, what would halo 4 be like without vehicles?

The ghost’s boost definitely needs a tweak, and I’d like to see a little health buff for it.

Mongooses virtually immune to being EMP’ed
Ghosts stall only 1.75ish seconds, and maybe 1.5x health
Banshees stall only for 2 seconds, and maybe like 1.3x health
Wraiths stall for a good 3 seconds, and have like 1.5x health
Scorpions stall for about 3.5 seconds, and have 1.4x health
Warthogs stall for 2.5 seconds, and have 1.5x health
Mantises stall for 3 seconds, and like 1.25x health
(Add the Gunner mod and you got a deadly combination!!)

But in the end those stats make a difference :wink:

I’d like to see consistent spartan deaths after getting rammed at full boost speed from a ghost

Tell that to the rampage machine otherwise known as the Gauss Hog.

With the complete Randomness of PODs anyone can be gifted a laser at any point in the game

That in it’s self is kind of a Vehicles killer

And until that is fixed BTB will feel the effect

Decrease the EMP time and up the durability? Try the Wheel-man specialization.

Anyway, I have no trouble making the most of Halo 4’s vehicles. If you use the proper perks and know what you’re doing you can still dominate with them.

I’ll have to agree with you on that one. Ghosts are very usable once Wheelman is unlocked. As long as you KEEP MOVING, it’s actually pretty good and you’ll stay alive a lot longer. Warthogs are quite good with wheel man. I really pissed off a Splaser because it took him 3 shots to destroy the Hog (I think could have been 2), and preceded to allow the gunner to (slowly) mince him up.

Before the Great War with the Covenant … It’s was UNSC policy to construct Warthogs using quality , high density , bullet proof Titanium .

Alas , the war with the Covenant brought catastrophically devastating loses to Earth and all her Colonies .

The consequential Galactic Recession has thus rendered it necessary , and resource effective , to now construct Warthogs out of recycled bean cans .

This truth has to carry over to Infinity’s War games simulations as to not give the Spartan 4’s unrealistic notions of the Warthogs combat effectiveness and utility .
