Vehicles are far too fragile.

Title says it all. I just had a fresh Banshee and was taken out in seconds by small arms fire. It made H5s vehicles seem heavily armoured by comparison.

After H5 I didn’t think vehicle gameplay could get any more underwhelming but this is ridiculous. I die faster in a full health vehicle than I do on foot.

I feel like if the handling were improved this might not be the case quite so much.

This has honestly been a growing problem ever since Reach. Small arms have been able to deal more and more damage that sticks to vehicles. I don’t want vehicles to be unstoppable to infantry by any means, but especially now that parts can be ripped off and affect performance vehicles are really susceptible to ‘poke’ damage.

Yup small arms should do absolutely nothing to vehicles, there is 100 different ways to take out a vehicle and using guns like BR’s, AR’s pistols and commandos shouldn’t be one of them. Vehicles need to dominate in Big Team again, there needs to be way more open maps that have alternate paths to accommodate infantry.

Handling wouldn’t fix the wet toilet roll they have for armour. Health needs to be at least double for vehicles across the board imo.

I think small arms should do damage but only when hitting a critical point where the armour has already been destroyed by something heavier.

Physics are non existent, every vehicle feels more floaty than a CE ghost. Combined with no health, and the Ghost seemingly being more powerful than the Warthog and Banshee, vehicles seem very meh. 343i has always seemingly hated vehicles being powerful

Starting to think we are misusing the vehicles, since we’re kind of trained to expect them to be used a certain way. The banshee is NOT meant to be used to hang around and fight in one place, that’s why it’s so much faster than it used to be. Speed to do hit and run strafing attacks, but less armored.

The wasp is really better at fighting multiple targets in one position, it can last longer in a fight than the speedy banshee.

Trouble I’m having with warthog is incompetent drivers (as is usual throughout all halos)

Have not tried the tank yet, but that thing destroys plenty.

The floaty nature of the vehicles is definitely very weird, ESPECIALLY the Warthog. It has literally zero traction and seems to flip whenever you turn at high speed. It’s really odd.

I have also felt like since Reach, vehicles have been getting nerfed harder and harder, and becoming less of the overall experience. Would like to see them be able to survive for a bit. Not dominate the land 24/7, but really make them worth getting into.

I have no idea why it quoted before but deleted everything I typed but the problem with the banshee is no matter how fast you are it goes down before you can actually get a shot because its so weak

Banshee is an assist machine lol its weapons need a boost in power if it’s going to be as fragile as it is.

thats stupid that makes not sense why would they even think thats balanced

I feel like the ghost is in a pretty good place, warthog and banshee definitely need a health increase. Haven’t tried the wasp or scorpion yet.

The wasp isn’t too bad from my brief time using it. Both times it took a tank to take me down.
