Vehicles and Castle Wars

The Warthog and Mongoose on Castle Wars are extremely annoying.
Aside from the fact that when you drive them, you’re pretty much asking for death, the vehicles themselves are team killing machines. Anyone who has played this mode can back me up on this. You’ll be having a standoff with two enemies, waiting for back-up, when your teammate plows through you and gets killed by one of the two guys who saw him coming. He doesn’t even honk or anything, letting you know he’s coming. Even worse when he doesn’t get the blame for the teamkill, and the guy
I get that these vehicles are effective for breaking deadlocks and enable us to more easily fight through the map, but the team killing is getting increasingly infuriating. I’m more in favor of removing the Warthogs and keeping the Mongeese. I’m tired of getting team killed over and over.
What do you guys think we should do about it?

I like it as is, no need to remove them.

Aside from getting constantly betrayed?

I didn’t get constantly betrayed. I wouldn’t run down the middle of the paths or just got out of the way when the wart hogs where on their way.

It’s just an unfortunate side effect. You can’t turn friendly fire off or else you’ll have people pushing you off the map or to the enemy’s base, and I think the playlist does need a vehicle to promote flag runs. Only advice would be to try and be more aware of your surroundings.

I get betrayed more by unexpected ground pounds pushing me off the edge than getting run over. Especially if I’m returning a flag.

Worst thing is it doesn’t count as a betrayal- it gets chalked up as a suicide.

Thats pretty much the only answer. Listen for the sound, watch your motion tracker. Stick to the sides of the map and get out of the middle line

They are big enough to be easily avoided.Just watch out.

i get ran over all the time and some times it irritates me but most of the time it’s just funny because 6 bodies go flying and the guy ends up hitting a wall anyway.

having the mongeese/mongooses in this game type is really helping with my mongoose destroyer commendations though lol

I myself have experienced betrayal splatters from a warthog full of teammates. I find it somewhat comical, but I can see where you would be frustrated by it.

As I agree with the many posts above, I would like to add that friendly vehicles that spam-honk their horns often get less betrayals. I’ve seen others do this and I have had personal success with teammates moving out of the way of the coffin-on-wheels.

Mass Mayhem… It’s fun. Just stay to the sides of the path or jump up on a pillar. I get my butt plowed over every game… lol.

sometimes the vehicles are the only option for enter in the enemy base

I like them as well. There’s no need at all. Team Killing experiences, while frustrating, can also add a comical spin to the game. I don’t mind

Without the vehicles, Castle Wars is pointless and boring… if fact, i would argue for more vehicles on some of the maps so they will play like King’s pass which is crazy fun with all the vehicles colliding… until we get BTB Heavies (ahem…) this is as much fun with vehicles as we are going to get in Halo 5…

I get that, and I metioned that they’re useful for breaking stalemates. Problem is, I’ll be focusing on the two guys in front of me, and I don’t hear the Hog behind me, as it mows me down. That’s my frustration.

Anyone with a bane will know the pain of this happening to them… including me.

you need to be on the banks so that the vehicles have space

If you can coordinate with your team mates; it’s quite fun to go bowling for the other team and it potentially opens up a cap opportunity. If you can’t, well my apologies to whomever I ran over back in December.

Yup months worth of grind time in big team/warzone condensed down to a couple days. It was spectacular
