So there is a vehicle welding glitch…
343 know about this glitch and have favorited maps which use this glitch, so they are clearly ok that people are able to weld vehicles and all but why dont they just make it a thing without the need for a glitch meaning when you actually do weld a vehicle they will be alot less juddering and glitching in its self
We have welders?
It was supposed to be a feature included at the launch of Forge, but there were some issues that the devs weren’t able to iron out. I believe it’s still on the cards to fix, until then they’re happy for users to use this glitch to make some cool things
I’m sure it will be supported properly down the line instead of just being a ‘glitch’
Didn’t someone say that vehicle welding was confirmed for the reach update? Idk where, but I read on the forums.
I’m so confused.
Someone straighten this all out for me?

Before Forge was released the devs had a feature that allowed you to weld vehicles together with other items. It didnt’ work out correctly so they had to remove it from the game until they could get time to fix it. Fast forward to release and the community found a workaround / glitch to get this to work, but it isn’t perfect. I believe the Forge devs still have a plan to fix it, but no ETA. I rememeber Tom French (Forge Dev) briefly speaking about it on the live stream last week
So that explains the pod racers…
I’d like to weld a mongoose to another mongoose, and then put them on a Banshee. I think that would be some prime multiplayer experience.
It’s official, I need to weld two phaetons to an ONI Scorpion… Massacre will ensue…
Is this how the Flapjack Frenzy was achieved? Or could someone link an example of this welding?

google vehicle welding glitch in halo 5, there are tons of videos. it looks sketchy, but it truly does work for the most part.

Unfortunately i dont think you can weld vehicles to vehicles
Try having them all attached to a flooring and use the glitch
i wanted to weld a platform to the back of a warthog, big enough for like 2 turrets, then add two more guass turrets, and bam OP hog coming for ya.
did it, just the warthog wont respawn after its been blown up
Had no idea this was even a thing pretty cool though

I still haven’t figured out the entire process of how it works, though. Some items seem to add uneven weight to the vehicle so that it can’t move properly or is prone to flipping. Some items seem to completely bug out even when you do it perfectly (the Pelican, for example).
Also the Phaeton is the one vehicle that sadly can’t be welded, since it still acts as a physical object when you set it to phased.
I heard them mention in the hammer storm stream that they plan to feature true vehicle welding at some point.
So 343 patched the vehicle welding wonder why they would do this everyone loved making there own vehicles please bring it back 343!

…what? 343 didn’t patch anything.
But yeah, vehicle welding is fun. I made an armored Warthog that tows a functional wagon behind it, made of 5 independantly-moving parts. It looks kinda glitchy, but it works overall!
I’ve made a crude Prowler, just need to stick it all together…
A made a humvee using welding it is pretty cool
