Vehicle variants need to be more unique to work.

I honestly don’t mind vehicle variants, great idea for more cosmetic purposes… But vehicle variants such as Tundra or Woodland warthogs are going to be as useless as the monster skins back in the game Evolve.

If there are going to be vehicle variants, they have to be as unique as the gun skins instead of being a meme. Forget “extra armor” stats. Leave that for the actual vehicle variants like Oni and Hannibal. If there are going to be vehicle variants, have them be creative and motivational to use. Keep in mind, im mainly stating the vehicles such as Warthogs, Scout hogs and Gungooses. They should also be less of a REQ and more of a customization option in the menu. A few suggested ideas are:

  • Spartan tag Vehicle - an option to toggle your vehicle to be outfitted your game tag with your emblem. Example, im SECT with that ugly blue emblem. Add them fixed to your vehicle and bam, your Warthog screams you - Flood Vehicle - If there is the flood in Halo Infinite, this skin idea would be great cosmetic wise. Just have some flood guts and tentacles around the vehicle and bam, flood vehicle. - Highlighted vehicle - The vehicle will have streams and patterns highlighted and glowing in a color. Take example of the Master Control gun skins. Bam, its a vehicle that catches attention. - 343i Vehicle - Just like the 343i gun skin, a vehicle with the company is another way to set off your mark. - HCS/Team Vehicle - Just like the 343i vehicle, a vehicle supporting your HCS or your Halo team is also a way to support your roots.Skins like these sound like skins I would use. In hopes, I feel like others would use them too. Like i said, screw the stats and nature skins. Go for a more unique style to use. Though in honesty, this forum about the variant idea is only relevant if Warzone comes back.

Bam! Pizza Hog. It screams me.

I’d like vehicle skins and yeah there’s too many variants, probably just to increase the req pool making it harder to get what you actually want. I like that flood skin idea a lot. I’d like to see other faction skins too.

Lol I’m done

OT: I like the idea of leaving stat changes to variants that are actually different and letting skins just be skins.

Vehicle skins is really what the h5 variants that aren’t UNSC oni/Hannibal should be. It’ll be interesting to have them be more official and expanded in HI. Hopefully it doesn’t mean that future variants become ‘UNSC covenant vehicles’ or ‘covenant UNSC vehicles’ spam but rather some more creativity to be introduced.

All of this would only make sense if something Warzone like comes back, which is not granted. Sure req packs and Warzone had a big success, just like Dominion and Invasion, but they didn’t make a comeback. There are also a lot of players that didn’t like the idea of using reqs in a game mode to gain an advantage. If microtransactions are in the game, which is likely, they may resort to whatever packs they make to only contain cosmetics and skins of different sorts. At that point the whole idea of having the variants to actually be different wouldn’t make sense as there wouldn’t be any variants in the first place.

If things stay as they are somehow then yeah, I think they should absolutely make the variants a bit different from each other or just plainly reduce their number to avoid redundancies.

I’m actually somewhat indifferent to the idea of vehicle skins in general, but I’m not opposed to them.

If they do them, though… Bam!!

I think there should be a separate option for skins instead of keeping them the same. I mean it makes sense to give the variants their own unique look but indeed the skins should be something optional on top of variants.

Also I would prefer weapon variants instead of attachments it isn’t like vehicles have attachments (which could make skin variants better if they have more attachment slots). But even with the variants I think it might start to get overwhelming for roles and balance. Everyone knows that the Rare weapons are stat wise better than the stock ones (buying power through Req packs).

Lol i knew i wasn’t the only one that thought of that, I just didn’t want to mention it and suport the meme

Indeed, if there are micro-transactions, they should only be there for cosmetic purposes besides armor.
