Vehicle Suggestions For Future Halo Titles?

> > > While I love OP’s idea, we need to be a bit realistic. Imagine if you’re playing BTB, and these super larger/awesome vehicles come out of nowhere. Do you know how much it can negatively affect gameplay. Your team’s lich being right above your enemies spawn area. Imagine all the spawn killing that could be done. I would love to have these vehicles but in a custom game only or vehicle-powered gamemode.

OR! Wait for it!

Halo Wars base turrets. They’re essentially heavy hitting anti infantry/armor/air turrets.

I’d like to see water based vehicles in campaign. 4-person gunboats with turrets and single-person seadoo type vehicles would be cool. You could drop 'em in multiplayer with each team starting on land and having to race to an island in the center for CTF and other objectives.

Promethean Siege Tank- with a similar size and shape to the Wraith, The PST is cut down its center and silver in color. It fires a ground based rolling munition which is a small kill ball. It has acceleration at first, allowing the driver to fire up a steep slope. The HardLight ball kills everything in its path and disintegrates when it hits a wall or vehicle. The PST can boost from side to side, but not forward. The PST has two side seats for passengers.

Water vehicles keep getting suggested and I keep coming back to why?

Logically it doesn’t make sense.

Spartans can’t swim. The sheer density of their MJOLNIR armor makes it a physical impossibility. So to have SIVs duking it out on gunboats would be tantamount of SIVs duking it out on land in Warthogs, except that nobody can get in or out of the Warthog except at predetermined locations. This on top of the fact that since SIVs can’t swim, you can’t have the SIVs and the boats on the same play area. They have to remain separated. What’s more, the boats are only usable in water so no Forged areas for them. This also on top of the fact that vehicles on land can have more dynamic terrain where as you can’t with water.

So I don’t see the appeal for basically a palette swap that imposes a bunch of restrictions on the player.

OT: Halo Wars vehicles. Most, if not all, would pretty much only be suitable for Campaign. Other than that? Fuel Rod Wraith, Mammoth and Lich (in MP) Revenant, Bomber Banshee.

Bomber Banshee? Is that the space Banshee?

I know it won’t be likely for the Halo Wars vehicles to enter MP, but the point of this thread is to try and balance them out in the event that we do get them in MP. This would give 343i ideas on how to possibly balance the vehicles.

I’ll make a fighter list eventually.

Bring back the falcon! Or a new variant
