Don’t you think by now matchmaking should have extremely big maps with bigger vehicles? I mean all the matchmaking maps are small, and the crimson map pack maps are average sized. Shouldn’t 343 want to innovate more? Even Halo 3 had Elephants in Sandtrap, which was amazing. This is freaking Halo 4, shouldn’t there be Halo CE Infinity sized maps with pelicans? I think a map as big or bigger than Infinity from Halo 1 in matchmaking with pelicans/elephants/giant vehicles, would be awesome. They should do that by now. It shouldn’t be tiny COD-like maps, come on. I’d just like to see some huge maps with pelicans. Even the campaign had a flyable pelican in it, so it should already be in the programming. They should add giant maps with pelicans in a future map pack, really. What do you think?

“Shouldn’t 343 want to innovate more?”
I think 343 has done quite enough ‘innovating’. I suspect this comes from a Battlefield player but to be honest, this is not an amazing idea for Halo.
Big Team is uncoordinated and cluttered as it is and this would push it further down that route. If they did want to have a map where power weapons were all over the map, to the point where you pretty much couldn’t miss one, and there were more than enough vehicles on the map at all times, OK, people might enjoy that.
I think we should all have an UNSC Infinity in our pockets, Mammoths can replace the Mongoose.
Quite frankly, I think they haven’t innovated as much as you think. Even Halo 3 innovated more by adding Elephants (which were huge controllable ground vehicles.) Other than adding the Mantis, I think they’ve downgraded in terms of vehicles and map size. There isn’t even a hornet anymore. Come on now.
“Quite frankly, I think they haven’t innovated as much as you think”.
Oh, they’ve certainly ‘innovated’. I wasn’t specifically talking about Big Team.
In general, however, not my style. Big Team is hectic and frustrating enough as it is.
Well, if we’re talking about big team, it would be a lot less hectic logically if the maps were bigger. Take infinity for example from Halo CE. 16 players played perfectly. The large map just made it amazingly fun. If they were to make a map for matchmaking as big as Infinity, that would bring back so much cool gameplay. I highly doubt they’ll add pelicans, but they should at least patch in the hornet back in.
Like if they were to put a drivable Mammoth out there in a Sandtrap-sized map…
Some more maps for BTB wouldn’t be bad, considering there are only like 3 that continuously get picked. The Crimson Map Pack ones are terrible. I bet if you put in one map from previous Halo’s such as sandtrap it would be outpicked every time compared to the Crimson ones.
100% correct Vibrant.

Like Valhalla?
Maps aside (not a fan of the crimson map pack). Using vehicles in general is alot more hazardous in this game then it has been in anyother Halo game. You can spawn with a Plasma Pistol and a max of 3 grenades. The more I think about it the more ridiculous I find it to be. Not only that but the strengh of vehicles (while better then Reach) still lack in durability (besides the Mantis which has shields). Additionally, Halo 3 had a better lineup of vehicles in my opinion:
UNSC:
Mongoose
Warthog
Warthog-Gauss
Scorpion
Hornet
Elephant Sandtrap Specfic
Avalanche Snow Versions
-Hornet (no rockets)
-Mongooose
-Warthog
-Warthog Gauss (not to sure about this)
-Scorpion
Covenant:
Ghost
Wraith
Banshee
Prowler
Chopper (fav)
The mantis in Halo 4 is a nice addition, but I don’t see how much useful a mech can be other then shooting stuff. While I’m sure the Mantis was used to move crates, we did have forklifts and civilian vehicles that got the job done probably at a faster rate. I think its addition to multiplayer was just that of a adding a new toy for the players to play with. Personally I would have liked to see the addition of a Hornet or Falcon to match the Banshee.
