Vehicle Nerfs

Ok, so everyone here should know how OP the Reach Banshee, Guass Hog, and Tank were.

I have seen both Banshee gameplay and Tank gameplay.

From what I can tell either the ROF, damage, or blast radius need to be toned down on the Banshee Bomb, Guass turret, and Tank cannon.

I have not seen any Gauss Hog action so I can only hope the ROF on it is less than Reach’s.

Yea i saw some guass hog gameplay the ROF on that is slowed down from reach.

I think the new Banshee and tank are fine given the amount of power weapons in the game and PP starts. The little 30 second clip that was put out before PAX shows the gauss hog shooting quite a bit slower than Reach.

Its very obvious that 343 gave the tank a turret is because the tank is UNDERPOWERED. I mean think about it, considering that there are SO many new explosive based weaponry in halo 4, it is going to be a nightmare to drive vehicles anyway. Also conbime that with the fact that sprint is by default and there are far many more defensive based armor abilities and so on.

Nerfing the rof of the Gauss needs to spot on. Too much and people would complain that it takes too long.

If you really want to nerf the Gauss, go for the damage out put and splash damage. The rof in reach wasn’t the problem, because it actually fires similar to halo 3. It’s the damage and vehicle health overall in Reach …

The Scorpion now has a travel time on it’s shells and gravity also affects them over long distances. Should help stop tank sniping.

I think the Banshee bomb needs it’s blast radius reduced but other than that it looks fine. The biggest problem I have with Reach’s Banshee is the speed of it’s tricks and they’ve been nerfed considerably.

Watch the video link for the tank. From that, Greenskulls running riot, and ZaDarkTides killing frenzy its obvious something needs to be done about it cannon’s rate of fire. Also looking at Eli’s Banshee gameplay it is obvious the evade for it was nerfed (good thing) but the Banshee Bomb is again a tad too powerful.

The tank has been a beast in every single Halo game. All I see in that video is a slower rate of fire which makes a lot of sense to me. Shame that it’s the Reach model (same for Banshee and Ghost) as it just makes H4 seem like they couldn’t be bothered to finish it.

Banshee and Tank were okay, but the Reach Gauss Hog may be the number one most overpowered thing in Halo history. Every time I get in one, I easily pull off at least a fifteen kill streak. The Gauss Hog is just flat-out unfair. Its RoF should be nerfed dramatically. Like, a lot. It shoot shoot only a little faster than the Scorpion. Just a little.

Vehicles seem to be weaker, and Halo 3’s gauss was much worse than Reach’s.

Actually even the CE Tank had a machine gun, it was controlled by the driver though.

Gauss hogs do not need to be nerfed. Everybody can just spawn with plasma grenades and hide behind a corner and stick the hog.
The scorpion will fall victim to every new explosive.

The Guass Hog in Reach was rediculously overpowered and according to others the ROF has been slowed.

How about no? I don’t want another Reach repeat where everything gets nerfed to the point where it is almost unusable.

You were just on another thread complaining that 343 was changing so much, and now you’re here complaining because they didn’t change something minor… really?

i think that the scorpion should be like it was in CE

slow rate of fire
low splash damage
but high impact damage

this because scorpions have a machine gun, that is accurate and useful against infantry
gunners need a purpose in H4’s tank
