(I know that other people have made posts similar to this some-what recently but I thought I would make my own. Sort of a mega-thread/compilation of everyone’s ideas.)
- When You’re Driving
- Have the ability to turn on/off the engine (when the driver turns off the engine, he/she will not be able to drive it; after the engine is turned off, it will take 2-3 seconds to turn it back on so that they can drive the vehicle). (There could be a short animation of the Spartan messing with the vehicle controls/engine.)- Have the ability to jump/dive out of the vehicle when it’s going at top speed (the vehicle will continue to move for about 2-6 seconds or until it hits a hard surface). (Similar to GTA V’s vehicle ejection.)- When you enter the driver’s seat, there should be a small pause before you can drive.- Have the ability to jump/climb into the passenger or gunner seat. (Animation for getting into passenger seat should take about 1-2 seconds; Animation for getting to the gunner seat should take about 2-3 seconds.) (Won’t work if they’re holding a flag or a bomb.)2) When You’re in the Passenger Seat/Riding Shotgun
- Have the ability to jump into the driver seat or the gunner seat if they become vacant (Animation for getting into passenger seat should take about 1-2 seconds; Animation for getting to the gunner seat should take about 2-3 seconds.) (Won’t work if they’re holding a flag or a bomb.)- Have the ability to kick an enemy out of the driver seat or gunner seat and then get into it (won’t work if they’re holding a flag or a bomb). (1-3 sec.)- Have the ability to stop an enemy from hyjacking an ally who’s in the driver seat.- Have the ability to use scopes on weapons.3) The Vehicle
- When a vehicle crashes at full speed, it should lose 5-30% of its armor/health (damage depends on which vehicle it is).- When a vehicle crashes at full speed when it only has about 1-20% health, it should explode or break down so that you can’t drive it.- When you flip a vehicle, there should be some sort of animation of your Spartan flipping it; it should last for about 2-3 seconds.- Each vehicle should be less bouncy and heavier. (Vehicles seem way to light when they fall off cliffs/high places; when vehicles like the warthog drive into rocks or walls/off the tops of hills, they hit the ground/surface and bounce off of it instead of just landing hard and stay on the ground.)- (Scorpion Tank) The damage inflicted upon it should stay the same whether you shoot the treads or the body, unless you’re shooting the player space-cover armor.- The wheels on a vehicle could have their own health bars; when a wheel takes too much damage, it should explode/fall off and then the vehicle will become undrivable. (Each wheel should have about 25% of the vehicle’s health. Shooting off a wheel will not damage the actual vehicle’s health.)- (Banshee) When you shoot off/destroy a wing, it should become slightly unstable and maybe drift in the direction of the wing that’s still there.4) When Hijacking
- When you are hijacking any vehicle, you should have the option to either 1) Plant a grenade and jump off, 2) Throw the person/character out of the banshee and hop into it, or 3) Do nothing and just stay on.
