Just wondering, since vehicle health seems like it’s here to stay then why not add a shield to all of them (similar to the mantis)?
Think about it, the vehicles would then be similar to how they were in Halo 2/3 but they won’t be as difficult to take down since they would still have health vs being only linked to player health (h2/3) making vehicles much harder to destroy since all they then had to do was recharge and they’re back to 100% health.
Plus with there being a shield to take down maybe they could balance out the plasma pistol and make require two successive shots in order to EMP and disable the vehicle (1st to take out shields and 2nd to disable).
It could be similar to CE’s campaign where some vehicles also had health and a visible health bar to show it. The bars could be placed on the upper left on your HUD.

The new Chief HUD is convincing but the vehicle HUD is just a reskin of H2/H3/Reach.

Now that you mention it, it would be pretty sweet if each vehicle (save for different iterations ex: the hogs) had their own HUD design like how the Mantis and Pelican have their own designs that could show information specific to that vehicle. Hog for example could show shields, health, and maybe a speedometer while the Banshee’s HUD could have an attitude indicator alienfide of course :P. Or would that be to much? Maybe for Halo 5?
Shielding for vehicles is actually plausible canon wise also, since humans have shielding tech now for the infinity and spartans.Having one for a vehicle should be much easier than making one for a spartan.

Eh I don’t know about removing it because it makes the PP more unique.
I just didn’t if it would have to claustrophobic for some people and I agree judging from the PS4 the next Xbox should get a massive increase in RAM which would greatly benefit 343 considering wasn’t running out of RAM their problem? I remember they said they ran out of something.

The Mantis is a unique vehicle. Its also not an original, so 343 could get away with changing it a little with that shield it has. Come to think of it, if every vehicle had a shield then they’d all be OP. Especially the Tank, Wraith, etc. However, 343 needs to modify or do a health buff for certain vehicles that are too easily destroyed, like the Banshee.

Also vehicles are meant to be Op IF NOT THEN YOUR GAME IN BROKEN…halo 4

I recall their ships having shields but not their vehicles. Better check that out
Obviously they can’t do this in Halo 4, but for Halo 5 they should just revert to the Halo 3 vehicle system. They were perfect in Halo 3. They’ve been terrible in every game since - Reach and Halo 4 (though even better in ODST, for the most part).
