Vehicle for the Jackal?

I was just thinking about what each species of covenant use what vehicles, and the Jackal never uses one. If he were to use one, what do you think it would look like? My vehicle would have a sniper weapon, but I’m not sure what the vehicle itself would look like. One last thing. Would you want to see the Jackal have his own vehicle in a future Halo game?

Let’s call it the “Jackalin," have it shoot needles/plasma bolts/particle beams and offer a deployable shield.

It might look something like this.

That sounds cool.
Also…
If I’m correct, the vehicle you showed me was a unicorn mongoose.

They don’t really need one. They’re just support, and ride with the rest of the Covenant forces on Phantoms and Spirits, getting dropped of at positions with a good line of sight for most of the battlefield, or with their squad.

I can see the Jackals being angry about the Unggoy having the Grunt Goblin and wanting something similarly badass for themselves.

Not sure I’d want them to have a vehicle. They’re already really annoying to fight when you have to hit that tiny opening to get them to move their shield.

The jackals use deployable lookout towers.

:joy:

I could potentially see Jackals sitting behind the driver seat of the Revenant and Ghost. It’s too bad that they seem to be prevented from occasionally handling vehicles within the Halo games.

If they got a vehicle it should be a scout craft. Something small, fast, and agile.

Like maybe it could be something like a speeder bike from start wars. Just make it look kind of like an elongated ghost.

Ultimate Troll vehicle right here: basically a smaller, Hornet in Covenant style that is exponentially weaker but is (unless you hit it) permanently camoed. Oh, and for the side gunners, Sniper Jackals. He He He…

In a vain, desperate efforts to, ahem, “balance” this thing, the pilot has no weapons (like the Reach MP Falcon) and the thing is overall harder to operate, assuming you can jack and steal it because why wouldn’t you. Also, the Jackals have to scope in for a bit before they shoot, and their red glare dot penetrates the cloak (for more of a “know it but you’re too late” type feel"). They can be carbines, too, so don’t worry about seeing the thing always meaning insta-beams.

Still, this thing will be the bane of everyone’s existence on Legendary. In that case, mission accomplished.

In that case, how about the concept Revenant from Halo 4? Could serve as a fast, raider type vehicle that allows for precision and firepower where the original and the Ghost had neither.

No… Better idea, make the jackal have a vehicle that is just Grunt Goblin but carrys a giant shield and a Super Delta Beam Rifle.

If anything, the Jackals would be the ones manning the turrets of vehicles. They’re firmly entrenched in their support role as far as the universe goes. But if they’re to have a vehicle of their own, it’d most certainly be a covenant equivalent of a Wasp. An annoying vehicle to deal with, just like the Jackals are with their shields.

The Jackals would likely use an aircraft vehicle of some kind similar to a Wasp as Afro Thunda mentioned. Whatever they used it’d likely be very quick and nimble or slow and fortified.

Jackal version of a goblin

In theory a Jackal should be able to use just about any vehicle so it’s all on 343i…that’s if they want to animate it, etc…
But oddly I feel like some kind of hover bike would suit the jackal.

I feel that the jackal is a support role, and doesn’t need a vehicle

The jackal could have a support air vehicle. It would be lightly armored and fast like a wasp but instead of having rockets it would have something similar to a plasma pistol charge shot. Being able to emp other vehicles and get rid of shields. I don’t know what the other weapon could be, maybe a needler or something.
Variants could give it an active camo ability. 10 seconds of camo with a 30 second cool down so it isn’t overpowered

I’m not sure if they should even get a vehicle, Jackals can snipe lol
