Vehicle challenges

Does anybody else find vehicle challenges in particular a pain? Whether getting kills with one or destroying one. Twice now I’ve had challenges based around the chopper. First one was destroy an enemy chopper. I thought, "easy enough, I’ll hop into BTB, look for a rocket launcher or hydra and wait to see one. Even in the few times that I did that and didn’t die, when shooting the chopper with the hydra, I killed the player but didn’t destroy the chopper, so it didn’t count. That happened twice.

Another one I had was “destroy an enemy vehicle by grinding the chopper’s wheels against it”. Wasn’t entirely sure what that meant but I went “sure, guess I just boost into the vehicle?” Again, waiting for a chopper to spawn, being the one who can get in it, and then surviving long enough to find an enemy vehicle.

I did not complete either of these challenges, I used my challenge skips from the pass. Because after dozens of matches I couldn’t accomplish either. Yes it is partially due to my lack of following the classic advice of “git gud”, but the almost completely random spawning of weapons and vehicles just makes it more of a pain that it usually would be.

All of the weapons seem to have reduced vehicle damage compared to previous Halo games. I think the Skewer may destroy some vehicles in one shot but the next easiest is to hit a vehicle with 2 quick rocket shots.

I haven’t been able to destroy any vehicles with the Chopper by boosting into it. I’ve also noticed that vehicle collision damage as a whole seems to not be working. My guess is that vehicle collision damage is bugged or it does so little damage that it isn’t even noticable.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has been able to destroy another vehicle with the Chopper by boosting into it.

I used my swap on the 3 wasp challenge. No thanks.

Yeah they’re bad. Even if you do manage a kill, since players are given AMPLE warning before their vehicle blows up the enemy will just hop out of the vehicle before it blows, so it won’t count as an ENEMY vehicle kill.

For me if it isn’t that it’s some rando eking out the last point of damage with an AR or something and it won’t count as me getting a kill.
