Why isn’t there a betrayal point for blowing up your own team’s vehicles. Its not like you accidently destroy a vehicle.
Its completely ruining my playstyle. Constantly whenever I am a driver of a warthog and I have a opponent operating the turret mowing down my own teammates, my own teammates blow up my warthog. This wouldn’t be a problem, except that they get a kill point for the enemy and i walk away unharmed! Back in the good old days of Halo 2 and Halo 3 when i did this, If my teamamtes blew my vehicle up, yes they would get a kill, but also a betrayal -1 point, thus gaining no points. But no! not in Halo 4.
Who else agrees you should get a betrayal point for blowing up your own team’s vehicle!?
Voted Yes, however vehicles should be less vulnerable to small arms fire, since stray 1 shot from a rifle can be enough to take a vehicle out if some numpty is still driving around in it even though its about to blow.
Voted Yes, I usually don’t go straight for vehicles at the start of a match but it is so annoying when a team-mate beats another team-mate to a vehicle and the guy who didn’t get it proceeds to shoot at and grenade the vehicle, blowing it up. Its the worst when someone from your team gets a power vehicle like a mantis or gauss hog and the jealous team-mate blows it up!! The only time I ever shoot a team-mate’s vehicle is when some one gets in a vehicle like a 'hog and proceeds to drive off without the gunner, even then, I just shoot it once so it stops and the driver lets a gunner on.

I usually grab a Ghost and run those people over a couple of times. I’m pretty sure that the people who do try to grief for power weapons and/or vehicles are nearly always absolutely terrible with it.
Say, for example, I’m doing well in the Mantis and I get around 15 kills, because I’m not an idiot who rushes the other base and gets gangraped by 8 people EMPing and nading me, I’ll occasionally get some idiot who wants a piece of the pie and will try to nade me to get me out. So I’ll get out (because I don’t care) and watch them run towards the enemy team and die within a minute without so much as a kill.
The same goes for power weapon thieves. Someone will TK me for a sniper rifle of some kind and they’ll proceed to get a grand total of 1 kill or they’ll camp at our spawn instead of taking a vantage point where you can maximise kills.
I always want to be put on the opposite team to such people, but it never seems to happen. I’m pretty sure they’re the types of people who you’d kill like 30 times in a row and if they got a lucky kill on you, they’d boast about how much “leet pwnage” they unleashed (or some similarly old and childish term).
I’ve had this happen a couple of times, but I THINK it was accidental, however I’ve tried to get into a vehicle before and half the team decides to nade it, and then blow the rest of the mongooses up Well, no flag points this ragnarok!

OP, your “playstyle” of driving around an opponent and allowing them to mow down your whole team is pathetic and disgraceful. I’m glad that they can destroy your vehicle and not be penalized. Quit being a nuissance to your team and play the game properly. I WISH that it would still kill you without penalizing your teammates. Better yet, I WISH you would get banned altogether.

Oh, now I see that, I was voting yes if a team-mate for no apparent reason destroyed a perfectly good vehicle. Now I see that he drives an opposing player around and lets him kill hi team-mates. If I had an opposing player in the back of my 'hog, I would either try to jump out and kill the enemy or try to get blown up (driving off cliff or drive to team-mate armed with stickies, ready to blow up 'hog), you know, “for the greater good” and all that…
