This isn’t an issue new to halo 5… But have you ever noticed that when your in a tank, and your driving down (or up) a slope and you try to aim the cannon upwards (or downwards) it dosnt let you restricting your aim?
It’s like all the tank is designed to do is sit on a flat plain.
Whats up with that? I think all the vehicles do this, and always have. Is it a feature there for some reason that escapes me, or is it just a weird thing that no one has ever fixed?
Turret elevation always had a limit to their pitch level. Sure you can turn your turret around 360 degrees, but you’ll never have 180 degrees of elevation.
He knows we can’t have 180 degrees of elevation in a tank.
Lets just say the tank has 45 degrees of elevation on level ground. If you’re going down a slightly steep hill you will lose maybe 10 degrees of the bottom part of your elevation.
So, you could be looking at an enemy but not be able to aim the reticle low enough to shoot them. Again, it’s because you’re going down a hill and you can’t use the bottom 10 degrees.
This happened to me in my last warzone game. I was looking straight at a warden eternal and he was shooting me while all I could do was just back up & hope the hill leveled off. Pissed me off so much. 343 what’s the deal?!?
Yeah it’s especially annoying in the last round of WZFF at Array(or whatever you call the regular WZ version) when you have to kill the grunt mech. You can’t you down that hill with a tank, it’s so annoying. It’s always better to use wraiths against bosses of that size, anyway.
You would think in the future they would have some kind of stabilisation going on with the turrets stopping bumps in the road from messing shots up but Halo isn’t about a futuristic military having stuff that makes sense for them to have in the future. People would just complain about it reducing skill gap blahdy blah.
