Now that Season 2 has started, all the Season 1 content that isn’t available in the battle pass is now listed as
“Vaulted”
“Currently unavailable, released during Season 1”
I’m curious about some of the details to this. I presume this means it may never become available again?
My bigger curiosity though is that this is also on gear that as far as I can tell, was NEVER available to obtained. All of the missing nobles accessories for instance are now listed in the armors under Mark V, Charter’s shoulders, Ermile’s Shoulders, ect.
Would it be possible to get some clarity possibly?
Correction, the warthog skin is season 2. But I’d still like to know about the missing noble cosmetics that are vaulted but never were available.

Considering that JFO and CQC became visible in the MK V[B] armor core, I would assume that ‘vaulted’ means “not available for purchase or unlock, was available in [insert season]”
Similar language is visible on the Eaglestrike core’s armor pieces as well.
My interpretation though? They put that in as their new de facto “unavailable” indicator, among other subtle changes. I wouldn’t take it as a sign that Season 1’s “vaulted” gear won’t be available for purchase or unlock at some later date, especially for unlocks like those two aforementioned helmets.

343: Claims to be player friendly with the BP, avoid FOMO.
Also 343: Removes free progression from past BPs unless you buy them, implements coding to “vault” store items (whatever that means, regardless of whether they planned on using it it is present and visible)
Maybe “vaulted” items are just fancy talk for unavailable but this really needs to be clarified.

I don’t see how leaving access to a former BP is somehow enabling FOMO.
Every other game I’ve ever played encouraged a “move it or lose it” mentality when dealing with BP’s, this is the first that I know of that lets any player go back to a BP they never completed/participated in and let’s then become an active participant as if they were there the whole time.
Truth be told, it just looks like you’re trying to find reasons to be upset when it’s actually a consumer friendly move (free tiers removed or not).

Agreed, clarification is necessary. I’m fairly certain every single one of Bungie’s moves or renames has been documented pretty clearly if it’s supposed to be a noticeable change.
They would make a lot more money on this game if they just let you buy any armor peice (thats not included in the battlepass) whenever you wanted. Its mind blowing how stupid the current store is.
Want that specific shoulder peice? Too bad, you missed it on the week it was actually on the store.
What a joke.
