Vanilla Halo 4, is only one kind of Halo 4

What people seem to forget is that we have options.

We want to play Classic Halo with no sprint, perks, or loadouts?
Guess what? You play Classic Playlist.
You want to play with BR and Sprint only? No loadouts?
Guess what? You play BR Slayer.
You wan’t Team Snipers with no Sprint?
Guess what? Classic Snipers.

They said themselves, Classic Halo is still intact. These loadouts, so called “perks”, and sprint, and what ever else has yet to be announced is all optional. We had it in Halo Reach. The only problem was, it wasn’t built from the ground up with Classic in mind.

This is why Halo is so awesome: because it can offer so many different playstyles and experiences all in the confines of one game. Like Fat Kid and Lava Pit in Halo 3, etc.

We have choices people, so quit complaining. Cuz you’re really only complaining about a few different playlists, not the whole game.

guess what, we don’t even know how H4 matchmaking is going to be set up, so

guess what, how can we know what vanilla H4 MP IS?

Yeah. Because 343 would actually take out Classic Slayer. Maybe, at the same time, Call of Duty will actually change something from title to title. (Think logically)

If Halo 4 turns out to be like Halo: Reach where 343 completely redoes the settings of the game a year after launch because the “majority” doesn’t like the core mechanics of the game, I’m not buying Halo 5. I’ll survive by watching Campaign videos on YouTube.

This is a terrible mindset.
We need a unified gameplay experience throughout the board.

With halo reach came a lot of ways to make it your own game, but with that it lost the most important quality, feeling like halo.

I want a game with customization, not a fragmented sandbox.

I really doubt that’ll happen… I don’t think that 343 liked cleaning up the mess Bungie made with Reach. If I were them, I’d keep that in mind, and try my best to make it so that every fan of Halo, whether it’s a H2, H3, or even Halo Reach fan, can pick it up and play a gametype they know and love and enjoy.

This isn’t to say that changes won’t be made to H4 after it’s release. It’s always possible that some features they thought would work well could end up being the worst idea ever in the players eyes. But I think that 343i knows what they’re getting into, and they’re gonna try their best to get everything right the first time, that way they don’t have to make nearly as many changes to H4 as they did to Reach.

And I’ve gotta say, even though we’ve barely gotten a taste of the game, I like what I’m seeing/hearing so far… I have faith that 343i will take Halo to a whole new level and reclaim it’s title as the king of all shooters on Xbox Live (yeah, I’m lookin at you stupid -Yoink!- Call of Duty).

well at least 343 got the core gameplay right this time

If there is any classic playlist at launch, there would be no point in nerfing the rest of the game.

At launch

You could not make Reach play like classic halo

No possible way.

e.e

But I do agree with the statement overall. It’s weird both sides want this (competitive and casual) But never agree on what it is.

They basically already confirmed that SWAT is coming back, so playlists are most likely the way they will go, we just don’t know how they will organize those playlists.

In my case I hope to see a few playlists that allow your preferred player model. (I mostly want to see this in every playlist except MLG, SWAT, and Snipers).

Or, you know, the default Halo 4 settings could be the classic settings, and the gimmick lovers can get their own playlist cough action sack cough
