Recently I got a gaming mouse/keyboard to use with my Series X, I usually use it to play Infinite MP but I also mess with it for MCC. I noticed that even though I bind actions to my side mouse buttons, they do not register in-game. It is like the game pretends they don’t exist even though I see them listed in the bindings and it allows me to press the buttons to bind them in settings. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a workaround?

Sorry to necro the post but yes I can confirm this is still an issue. Current implementation of mouse and keyboard support does not correctly support auxiliary mouse key 4/5 buttons

Does your mouse allow you to customize the function of those mouse buttons without using external software? Some fancy mice have software you can download to rebind the mouse keys and save those changes internally in the mouse. This might allow you to get around this.
