So yeah 343i decided to add a warthog with no gun, I.E. a giant mongoose. Not even the big troop carrier for halo 3, which would be great fun for coordinated attacks in warzone. I’ve tried to find uses for these things and all I’ve come up with is using them to block doors and create mobile cover in warzone assault games when defending and for joyriding when i’m fed up of being productive and cant find a gunner, so i ride around splattering opfor in spawn just to be annoying. Anyone else found uses for these?
P.s. oni scout hogs? Wtf at least the camo ones look cool, i feel like it should have some stupid upgrade like extra ramming damage vs vehicles or it should fly or something.

Yeah they would actually have a use in ctf, better than a mongoose for running carrier back.
All these vehicles are basically just 343i way of spamming useless items for Req packs. Love this game and props to 343i for the game but this really does annoy…
So you play 4 hours straight saving those req points, you get all excited about the prospect of spending your 25k req points you have built up. You open 5 silver packs and you unlock another variant of the other variant of that crappy variant warthog you didn’t want/need in the first place. I mean seriously its annoying, all a man wants is his DMR and I just keep getting warthogs with a better paint, Warthogs with slightly better armor.

Yh scout hogs do mean there are a third as many hogs to unlock and sell from req packs.
They can help stop a cap on first base in warzone assault. Base gets overrun and they are capping. Just spawn a scout and you’re back in the base on spawn and stopping the cap. This can slow the cap down just enough to get more reinforcements and to distract the enemy team.
If they came with a group of Al marines in the back they would be so much more useful IMO.
The better the Hog the more upgraded marine,such as standard and ODST etc. Just a thought!

The only thing I use them for is to rush to the other side of Stormbreak at the start of the match to distract some of the other team from capping the mid base. I start doing laps around their armoury and I usually get at least 3 or 4 people frantically chasing me, it’s hilarious!

Am sure there is a plan to do something with the scout hogs/mongeese in the long run.
A game mode similar to the one in Halo 4 with the multiple flags strewn across the map (sorry can’t remember the name) added to Warzone would give them a very good use.
With marines in the back in normal Warzone you know you have some support with you everytime you spawn one, making them not such a waste IMO.
