Halo 5 Ranking system is rubish due to the 10 rank desiding matches… There is no system im gold 6 an i get 3 unranked ppl on My team against 4 platinum 3 ppl… the system is so -Yoinking!- screwed you either get raped og the other team get raped no close matches…
you guys sure look for reasons to blame others. I mean… im not saying it isn’t true, I don’t know if it is but who looks at the other peoples ranks after a match? What is the thought process behind it? Is it ‘‘damn I just lost, better look if everyone was in my Tier so I can blame 343 on the forums if not’’?

If I get destroyed I absolutely look at the other people’s rank… what is the rank for if it isn’t too keep the matches fair?

your CSR is what determines who you play against, not the ranking itself which makes sense.
I want the levelling up then you get armor not this micro transaction -Yoink-.

Same as it ever was.
It’s placement matches… they match you up with varying skill levels. When you get spanked by plat players and walk along over silvers., and break even against gold players, guess what. You’re not diamond. And it’s not a matchmaking problem.
During placement, it’s more complex than win loss, it takes into account KDA, accuracy, and a bunch of other variables not taken in once you’ve placed.
Again, your placed were you belong. Quit your whining and climb the ladder like the rest of us Spartan.

No your not diamond, your platinum 2 like me, then you feel like dog poop going 5 and 21 every game a dragging a otherwise good team down for a loss. Then due to 343 being very good at keeping a 50/50 win loss you get thrown in with onyx team mates playing gold members so you go 10 and 9 get a win. Then your rank stays the same and you continue to drag teams down.

I completely understand what you’re trying to say but the teams should at least be balanced. Instead of 5 onyx vs 5 iron, couldn’t it at least be 2 onyx and 3 iron vs 2 onyx and 3 iron?
right all these 50-20 matches (win or loose) are -Yoink-. they obviously arent competitive
I don’t like the fact that if your on a winning streak then you loose one or two matches and boom you drop like nothing.
Maybe if it was where you reach a certain level you can then rank up.

This is the correct attitude and mindset required to become better. Period. If you don’t view a competitive situation in this way, you must rely on innate skill alone, which not everyone has.
Again, my post was in reference to placement matches only. Whenever I get placed I’m about a whole tier below my current skill cap, so in my opinion the algorithm works just fine. Your gonna be placed in unbalanced matches during placement, but remember it’s more than win lose, if you excel vs a onyx or diamond team and still lose, it records your stats sill, not just the win or loss.
While not perfect, I see no real issue. I am acutely aware that I skill capped (struggle to remain positive) on the diamond to onyx transition. I am always placed accordingly, in every playlist.
It seems spot on to me. Take treed mongoose’s quote and let it sink in. Focus on what can make you better, not the ranking system.
I completly agree its a game of learning and attitude, but it gets very frustrating when you are placed a tier above what you should be and get owned over and over again. Hard to learn tactics when you have a 5 sec lifespan. And you cant lose rank because this matchmaking makes damn sure you are 50/50 win loss. I think they need to weigh kd and average place finished into the ranking as a percentage.
My issue with the rank system is it not rewarding you for how you do in a game. Been doing well in BTB lately but have not moved up. I like the divisions but the lack of any underlying performance based ranking system destroys it.

While I trust in the placement system. I will agree atleast showing us how close we are to ranking up or down would be nice.
I also think it should take into account KDA.
I mean, I’m not gonna be mad if I have crap game, drag my team down, losing 49-50, and the dude who went 20-5 on my team goes up in rank. If you earn it you deserve it.
I was definitely ranked high for BTB. Platinum, but I suck at BTB.

I’m European, I am from Spain. Like many of you, I am angry about not being able to play and select servers in Europe. I’m sick of playing games with players USA, they are immortal. I encourage everyone in my situation to start a campaign both Halowaypoint, and Twitter. 343i and Microsoft need to listen to us, they notice the pressure.
Write tweets letting your anger. I wrote several tweets where I said “I’m European. I cant choose server in Europe. I have friends Who Do not playHalo 5 for esta reason”
