I’ve been noticing more and more players are just sitting idle when you start up a episode in spartan assault. That or they just run around punching the allied npcs until they die. Which is very aggravating because i get to do all the work while they sit there and -Yoink- around until the end of the game and get all the credit for it. 343 really needs to add a way to kick these players from the game because it is seriously making me not want to play this game anymore and im a die hard halo fan but this a**holes are ruining it.
Anyway, whenever I get stuck in a group where the others don’t do anything, I either set my controller down for a while and focus on my laptop instead, or I lure some covenant over to them and watch them die. Nothing to me is more satisfying than seeing a legendary elite drive his fist down the throat of an AFK player.
When they see you clearing the level, they just sit back and keep letting you do all the work. When you’re not doing anything either, they get bored and either help or leave. In the latter case, I get all the credit (And more work…), in the former at least they’re doing something.
I doubt 343 could do anything about useless players though - if they could they’d have done so for Objective games where the winning team refuses to capture the flag until 1 second left in the game, and entire teams who refuse to enter the hill in KotH games and instead treat it like a slayer game…
Hate idlers in Spartan Ops. My method of choice is to push them out in to the open, grab the nearest vehicle and splatter them over and over again. Worked a treat on Shootout in Valhalla
Players are idling to boost their rank, and Spartan Ops gives more XP than War Games. Just quit and find a new match; you’ll get matched with actual players this time, and they won’t get the satisfaction of gaining XP at someone else’s expense. Win/win.
