If you play matchmaking, use a head set.
Nothing is more frustrating than playing several objective gametypes in a row without a single teammate choosing to communicate.
Do other players feel like use of the headset has declined?

Yes, cause I want to hear a 10 year old whining on Halo or any other game. I pretty much mute everybody. And you don’t need a mic to be a good team mate. I know tons of times where I’ve watched others backs and they’ve watched mine.
No, I don’t think I will. Sorry.
People stopped using their mics in Halo once party chat was introduced to Xbox LIVE.
Make me. You can’t. Stay mad about it.

It’s horrible now that a lot of people have Kinect, because they’ll have it on not realizing it and I’m forced to hear whatever is going on in their house until given the chance to mute them.
Ugh.
I’d rather listen to music than people complaining about the game while playing.
Just because I am not talking doesn’t mean I am not listening. If someone calls out, " Hey! they are taking the garage!" You can bet I am on my way over to defend…
I always use a mic. People who like winning communicate both ways. They listen to callouts and they make callouts. People who don’t use mic just don’t care enough. Nothing wrong with it but if you want teammates who have mics you gotta add them as friends and send out some invites.
I would if I could but I’m going through a temporary xbl communication ban at the moment because there are some serious report happy trolls out there.
I can understand the need for mic’s, however if its just casual multiplayer I dont see the need. Run around and have fun. Why would I want to use a mic and communicate with someone who’s spent the last match screaming about how the team cost them a win or how everything that went wrong is every one elses fault but their own. -shrug-

No people stopped using them because people got tired of all the -Yoink- talk from twelve year olds.
Well, I would use mine if my cats hadn’t bitten off it’s wire or if I had time to solder it back together…
Yeah, children is the biggest cause of people not using Headsets anymore… And the new Kinect function to use it’s Mic in games…
Headsets and Mic’s aren’t worth using anymore. Half the time they are on, they aren’t even being used properly for communication
Idk, Half the time the other person on the mic is using a kinect so the audio is horrible plus have someone talking in the backround i rather not deal with, Or They speak another language and just keep yapping nonsense.
I begin every match trying to get people to talk. It’s insanely frustrating to play a cooperative ranked game with people who would rather not communicate.
Turn on a game of warzone.
1 player with someone screaming to him in a different language.
1 guy with a baby crying
1 little kid with a high pitched voice piercing through me
1 guy who sounds like he’s eating his microphone.
-mute all
No thanks, listening to whingers or people over celebrating coz the got 1 kill dosen’t do it for me.

Don’t forget the worst of all of them:
1 guy with his Kinect turned on with loud music on, which then gets picked up by the Kinect.
Seriously, I’ve seen this too many times, and each time I do, it’s some really -Yoink- music.
I actually ran into like 3 people who were on Mocs and none of them and I mean none of them had any issues, we communicated and laughed and had fun, yeah sure I can get frustrated here and there and may stifle a small complaint, but eh we had fun and now have 3 extra mates to play Halo 5 with. Just gotta find the right people
