How a about using 2 million dollars to add better Content and better the game I could care less about a pro player that definitely don’t don’t deserve my cash I spent hours sweating for no no no no no get a real job .I’d rather they spend it making this game better adding better Content like maybe a new classic Armor DLC ,or new map pack ,maybe put a falcon in the game agrees if you work then you understand where I’m coming from
While I agree the money could be used for better quality content, they are using it for the tons of free updates they give us. Sure a lot of it is just new Reqs/armor variants but they do include new maps and gametypes among other things.
What about what they are adding to MoR? or the fact that we have one more Update after that? Did you forget all the other stuff they have added to the game like more colors? More forge items? More REQs?

Yet many of the maps released were Forge maps or remixes of already existing maps. Even the re-introduction of Oddball, Assault and Grifball all use the same ball as opposed to the bomb and skull of prior games. There is a lot of recycling going on with these updates that its easy to see why they can pump out so much content for cheap.

I agree, Doc.

Oh for sure, 343 does recycle a lot of stuff. But it seemed like OP was saying they don’t add any new content at all.

Sure, but is repackaged content you already got, like many of the armor variants, really new? Are emblems being added in the REQ system that were available in past games really new? Are gametypes from past games really new? Technically, yes, but if this is the best they can do when the REQ system brings them in hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars…it’s a bit strange to recycle so much.

I don’t mean the variants of things we have, I mean the few things that actually are new to the game. The new Warzone maps for example are completely new with the exception of reusing things like the Armory buildings. But I do agree that we should get more completely new things in the monthly updates. I personally hate getting emblems in Req packs

True, the new Warzone maps are new with the exception of re-used assets. But then you get the inevitable Assault version which is just the new version cut in half. Again, there is a thin line on “new” with these updates that I think you and I agree on.
We do get free updates… lol

Free updates funded by the purchase of REQ Packs. Nobody has to buy them, but that also posits that if they weren’t big sellers then the DLC would likely not be free.
I agree mate, this or do a better Campaign for Halo 6…
I think its really cool to see the money go to support pro halo. It definitely makes me more inclined to buy reqs. I couldn’t care less about whats in the those packs.
I agree. I don’t really care how much a pro player is getting paid.

Yes, of course. Isn’t that exactly what OP is asking for?
They do.
What you don’t understand is 343 isn’t going to change or add things sometimes because of what you want. They do things for the game and the entire player base.

WE don’t know if the Hog Wild update is the last one. If you remember correctly, we were told that we would get free DLC until at least June 2016. Seeing as how they’ve been making tons of money and seem to want to please us, I would be surprised if they didn’t keep on going for a while longer.
I love the free dlc it’s a lot nicer not having to worrie about one of your friends not having dlc. But I would like to see more content for halo 5. I would like to see them make all the armors from the past halo games and more maps from them to.
Other than the cosmetics, which I don’t care about, the game has been getting better with every update. I don’t get the “it should have been here at launch” takes. It wasn’t, so get over it.
I just more maps that are grounded in the universe that seem relevant. previous Halos had that while with Halo 5 we find things that are just simply built for simulation…it just feels so fake, even with the bugs, the backgrounds it just doesn’t feel as big or as open. I think I’ll pay $15 for content I see is going to be good and not have to worry about some rng grind to unlock some emblems and armor that I will refuse to use. I’ll take paid quality over free quantity any day!
