Watching Hoonigan’s warthog video, seeing and hearing that thing move in REAL LIFE was a dream come true.
It would be amazing if 343 could replace the imo lacklustre current warthog sounds with that of the genuine warthog!
The current one sounds more like a 2-stroke than the beefy engine the warthog usually has. A lot of sound in this game has no tail and just has no punch or base. Just all feel lackluster.

Considering it’s 500 years in the future it shouldn’t sound like a gas guzzling diesel you see hillbillies drive on the highway. Regardless what’s a “punch” sound like for you. The guns all have a “punch” don’t think the warthog needs to have the “punch” of a spnker. You should probably consider upgrading from stereo to surround sound before you start claiming the audio of the game is lackluster lol.
While I appreciate what these guys have done IRL, they are still using a standard gasoline engine. In-universe, Warthogs run on hydrogen engine, so they’re supposed to sound different.
I’m actually glad that Infinite’s Warthog no longer sounds like an RC Toys Car as it did in the last two games (three if you count H2A). Even the Forza 4 Warthog sounded better than that.
Toyota has been working on a hydrogen combustion engine that sounds better than the hog.
Porsche has developed synthetic fuel that’s zero emissions.
On top of all that Halo is a fantasy game.
There’s no reason the Warthog can’t sound better than it does. No reason even that it couldn’t be a traditional combustion engine and still represent “future” technology. I use quotation marks because we are already living in a time with clean energy combustion.
